Erius generic

Erius - analogues

Exacerbation of allergies provokes the appearance of symptoms such as rhinitis and urticaria. To eliminate them, various antihistamines are prescribed, some of which cause unpleasant side effects, such as drowsiness, headache and dry mouth.

Table of contents:

These drugs include Erius - analogues of the medication are preferable in case of intolerance or sensitivity to the components.

What can replace Erius?

The presented medicine is an H1 receptor blocker, which prevents the development of allergic reactions, has antipruritic, antiexudative and mild anti-inflammatory effects. The active substance is micronized desloratadine at a concentration of 5 mg per 1 serving.

Accordingly, a direct analogue of the drug Erius should be based on the same active ingredient in an identical amount. Such means are considered:

All of the listed medications are based on micronized desloratadine or its hemisulfate at a concentration of 5 mg per tablet.

The Erius analogue Lordestin is considered the most acceptable option for replacing the drug in question. It is cheaper, moreover, it is quickly and well absorbed - the maximum amount of the active component in the blood plasma is achieved 30 minutes after administration, bioavailability is in the range of 83-89%.

Lordestin rarely causes side effects (in less than 1% of patients). Among them, dry mouth is most often noted, headache and drowsiness are practically not observed.

Other analogues of Erius in tablets

There are also medications called generics. They have a similar effect to the original, but differ in composition and required dosage. As a rule, such antihistamines are based on sehifenadine, mebhydrolin, and loratadine. These include:

The above medications are similar to Erius in their mechanism of action, since they are also H1 receptor blockers. At the same time, they have a wider list of indications, which includes not only urticaria and allergic rhinitis, but also skin itching, swelling of the mucous membranes, conjunctivitis, lacrimation, and febrile conditions. Most of these generics have a minimal number of side effects, are well tolerated, and do not affect the central nervous system.

Analogues of the drug Erius in the form of syrup, solution and suspension

The described dosage form allows you to quickly achieve the required therapeutic concentration of active antihistamine components in the blood plasma and is more easily eliminated through the gastrointestinal tract. The syrup is not as convenient to take as tablets, but it helps eliminate allergy symptoms much faster.

There are generics of Erius in this form:

The indicated names are also available in tablets if taking syrup is not possible.

It is worth paying attention to other dosage forms of Erius analogues. For example, oral solutions are considered very effective:

Doctors also recommend a concentrated suspension - Laurent.

There are no similar drugs in the form of an injection solution.

Cheap analogues and substitutes for the drug Erius for children and adults

The drug "Erius" is prescribed to people suffering from various types of allergic inflammation. The main active ingredient of the drug is desloratadine, which has an antihistamine effect throughout the day after ingestion.

On the Russian market you can find this medicine in tablets or syrup form.

There are fewer side effects than other drugs, and they are very harmless to the body: dry mouth, headache, insomnia. It is not recommended to use it during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

The average price of a medicine is from 430 to 560 rubles, since it is imported and manufactured in Belgium.

There are many cheaper analogues of the drug from a domestic manufacturer, and if you wish, you can always find something to replace Erius.

Russian-made analogues

The best cheap analogues of the drug that can be found in Russian pharmacies are presented in this table:

Ukrainian substitutes

Ukrainian-made medicines have proven themselves to be of good quality and low cost.

Their names and brief characteristics can be seen in this list:

  1. Allergostop. This is a close substitute for Erius, since both drugs use the same active ingredient, but the Ukrainian analogue is incomparably cheaper.

Belarusian generics

Belarusian medicines are two to three times cheaper than imported drugs, but no less effective.

The most popular of them are listed in the table below:

Other foreign analogues

  1. Alfast. An inexpensive Indian drug based on fexofenadine, which effectively relieves the symptoms of seasonal allergies for 24 hours and is not addictive.

And it is not a fact that the cheapest drug will be of worse quality than its imported synonyms. The composition of the drugs may be the same, but there is a difference in price, depending on the manufacturer.

Anyone can choose close substitutes for any drug, but it is worth remembering that this is best done by the attending physician.

Antihistamine drug Erius and its substitutes

Despite the popularity and effectiveness of the drug Erius, its analogues are also quite widespread. This is due, first of all, to the fact that the product has a fairly high cost. In addition, analogues of this medication can be used in case of individual intolerance or sensitivity to the components.

Composition of the drug Erius

The drug is used to treat chronic idiopathic urticaria, allergic rhinitis and even hay fever. It has antiallergic, antipruritic and antiexudative effects, preventing allergic reactions and facilitating their occurrence.

The composition of the Erius product includes main and auxiliary components. The main active ingredient is desloratadine, it is contained in each tablet in the amount of 5 mg. As for the syrup, 1 ml contains 500 mcg of the active element.

The following are used as auxiliary components of the tablets:

  • microcrystalline cellulose;
  • calcium hydrogen phosphate dihydrate;
  • talc;
  • corn starch.

White wax and a film coating are used to form the tablet shell.

The auxiliary components of the syrup are sodium benzoate, sodium citrate dihydrate, citric acid and propylene glycol. The syrup also contains purified water, flavoring 15864, dye E110, sucrose, disodium edetate.

This composition guarantees a minimum number of contraindications, which include only the period of pregnancy and lactation, as well as individual intolerance to the components.

As for side effects, their list is also not very long and includes:

Substitutes for Erius

Analogs of Erius can be considered medications that contain a comparable amount of a similar active substance. The drug belongs to the latest generation of antihistamines, therefore it shows maximum effectiveness compared to the older Tavegil and Xyzal. Despite the low price, they cannot be considered its complete analogues. You can replace Erius using the following means:

These medications contain micronized desloratadine in an amount of 5 mg per tablet. The most preferred of these drugs is Lordestin. It has a fairly low cost, as well as high and rapid absorption (up to 89% of the substance half an hour after administration). In addition, this drug causes side effects in less than 1% of cases.

Analogues in tablets and other forms

There are also so-called generics - drugs that differ in composition and dosage, but have a similar effect.

They are usually based on loratadine, mebhydrolin or sehifenadine. Such drugs include Nixar, Alergomax, Desorus, Fexofen, Fexomax, Fenkarol, DS-ENT, Eden, Altiva, Loridin, Tigofast, Telfast, Diazolin and others. Like Erius, they are H1 receptor blockers. But they are prescribed not only for urticaria, but also for allergic rhinitis, swelling of the mucous membranes, conjunctivitis, itching, lacrimation and fever. Intolerance and side effects when using these generics of Erius are minimal.

Generics of Erius, produced in such forms, are:

In case it is difficult to take the syrup, these medications are available in tablet form. In terms of effectiveness, they are not inferior to oral solutions, such as Alersis and Alernova. Unfortunately, there are no drugs with this mechanism of action in the form of an injection solution.

How to replace Erius? What are the cheapest analogues of Erius?

Domestic loratadine is quite inexpensive. This is a second generation drug, without side effects, like Erius.

And Erius is very similar in its chemical nature - Desloratadine.

You don’t need to touch first-generation drugs; they have side effects (drowsiness). Diazolin is cheap and sells well in pharmacies. Diphenhydramine (now on prescription and sometimes as a sleeping pill) is also an antiallergic drug.

Anti-cold powders and tablets (three-component) also contain antihistamines similar to Erius. But with side effects (slight drowsiness), they are good for the night.

When allergic pathologies occur, the drug Erius is prescribed in tablets or syrup. Analogues of Erius are Desloratadine, Ezlor, Lordestin, there are 72 analogues in total, you can see the entire list here.

Price ERIUS 0.005 No. 10 BAYER containing the active ingredient Desloratadine costs 546 rubles.

An analogue of Erisus tablets DESLORATADINE CANON 0.005 No. 10 from KANOPHARMA PRODUCTION costs 146 rubles, but from Teva it costs more.

You can compare prices for analogues of Erius here, enter the name of the analogue and see the cost of the medicine. The link is external, go from the site and click on the blue link again and you will be taken to the pharmacy site.

Erius is an antihistamine drug prescribed for allergies of various origins. Erius is an imported product and quite expensive, almost 700 rubles for 10 tablets. The main substance is desloratadine. Analogues are those drugs that have the same composition. In this case, it is desal, it is three times cheaper than erius and desloratadine is two times cheaper. Take care of your health.

Erius (original Desloratadine) - official instructions for use:

Clinical and pharmacological group:

Histamine H1 receptor blocker. Antiallergic drug

pharmachologic effect

Long-acting antihistamine, peripheral histamine H1 receptor blocker. Desloratadine is the primary active metabolite of loratadine. Inhibits the cascade of allergic inflammation reactions, incl. release of proinflammatory cytokines, including interleukins IL-4, IL-6, IL-8, IL-13, release of proinflammatory chemokines, production of superoxide anions by activated polymorphonuclear neutrophils, adhesion and chemotaxis of eosinophils, release of adhesion molecules such as P-selectin, IgE - mediated release of histamine, prostaglandin D2 and leukotriene C4. Thus, it prevents the development and facilitates the course of allergic reactions, has antipruritic and antiexudative effects, reduces capillary permeability, and prevents the development of tissue edema and smooth muscle spasm.

The drug has no effect on the central nervous system, has virtually no sedative effect (does not cause drowsiness) and does not affect the speed of psychomotor reactions.

Does not cause prolongation of the QT interval on the ECG.

The action of Erius begins within 30 minutes after oral administration and continues for 24 hours.

Pharmacokinetics

After taking the drug orally, desloratadine is well absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract, with detectable concentrations of desloratadine in the blood plasma achieved within 30 minutes, and Cmax after approximately 3 hours.

The binding of desloratadine to plasma proteins is 83-87%. When used in adults and adolescents for 14 days at a dose of 5 mg to 20 mg 1 time per day, no signs of clinically significant accumulation of desloratadine were detected. Concomitant food intake or simultaneous consumption of grapefruit juice does not affect the distribution of desloratadine (when taken at a dose of 7.5 mg 1 time per day). Does not penetrate the BBB.

It is extensively metabolized by hydroxylation to form 3-OH-desloratadine combined with a glucuronide. It is not an inhibitor of CYP3A4 or CYP2D6 and is not a substrate or inhibitor of P-glycoprotein.

Desloratadine is excreted from the body as a glucuronide compound and in small amounts (less than 2% in urine and less than 7% in feces) unchanged.

T1/2 averages 27 hours (20-30 hours).

Indications for use of the drug ERIUS®

Erius® - analogues are cheaper, the price of Russian and imported substitutes

Inexpensive Russian and foreign analogues of Erius at a more affordable cost

Erius is a well-known drug from the German pharmaceutical company Bayer that allows you to effectively cope and prevent allergic reactions. The positive effect is made possible thanks to the active ingredient of the drug - desloratadine. This medication is quite effective, but has a high cost. That is why this article will consider a list of cheaper Russian and imported products similar to Erius and their prices.

What does Erius help with? Indications for use

  • Allergic rhinitis, which manifests itself seasonally or all year round (elimination of nasal congestion, mucus, lacrimation and redness of the visual organs);
  • Chronic urticaria.

Contraindications

  • Negative, allergic manifestations to the components of the medication;
  • Children's age – up to 12 years;
  • During pregnancy and breastfeeding;
  • Dysfunction of the renal system.

Possible side effects during treatment

The most possible negative effects on the body can be fatigue and headaches. Rarely, increased heart rate and skin rash may occur

How to take medicine correctly

Treatment with this drug is recommended to be based on a regimen of 5 mg once a day. In addition, the medication should be taken at a certain time of day every day. The tablet is washed down with a small amount of water and swallowed without chewing completely.

How much does Erius cost? Price of medicine in pharmacies of large Russian cities

The price of this medicine is quite high. Not every Russian patient can afford to buy it. Its cost in an online pharmacy (apteka.ru - Moscow), for the tablet form is 596 rubles (10 tablets), and the product in the form of syrup costs 600 rubles (60 ml.). In St. Petersburg, you will have to pay 615 rubles for a package of syrup (60 ml), and there are 10 tablets. can be purchased at a price of 621 rubles.

List of available Erius substitutes at a lower cost in online pharmacies

Today there are many manufacturers of pharmaceutical products. They produce medications similar in composition to the drug in question, which have an inexpensive price tag. Below is a comparison table of more available options:

Elisey – (Russian effective substitute)

This cheap drug from a domestic drug production company is prescribed against allergic rhinitis, which is accompanied not only by nasal discharge, but also by itching of the nasal mucosa. In addition, Elisey copes with skin allergic complications - rash and itching - without any problems.

This medication is prohibited for people with sensitivity to the composition of the drug, children under 12 years of age, pregnant and lactating women, as well as patients with problems with kidney function.

Elisey is tolerated well in most cases. However, during the course of research, some side effects were identified. These include a rapid loss of energy, headaches and a feeling of dry mouth.

Lordestin – (Hungary)

The European relatively inexpensive substitute is no less effective medicine. It is good at counteracting seasonal manifestations of various allergic reactions.

The use of Lordestin should be avoided by women who are pregnant and breastfeeding. What makes this medicine different is its wider range of patients. It can be taken by children, but not younger than 2 years of age.

During treatment, undesirable effects are likely to occur: fatigue, sleepiness, headaches and abdominal pain.

Blogir-3 – (Greece/Croatia)

The list of diseases that Blogir-3 fights, as well as the above-mentioned medications, includes allergic manifestations, namely rhinitis and skin rashes.

Blogir-3 is prohibited for use by people with negative sensitivity to its composition, women who are expecting a child and young mothers who are breastfeeding. The age limit is the same as for Erius - the medicine is contraindicated under 12 years of age.

Being a complete analogue of Erius, Blogir-3 has the same negative accompanying reactions when taking the medicine - dry mouth, headaches and rapid fatigue.

Ezlor – (good domestic replacement)

The second Russian analogue in this collection. It facilitates the occurrence of allergic phenomena. Prevents nasal congestion, stops mucus secretion and itching. In addition, Ezlor is prescribed to combat tearing and redness of the eyes, as well as skin allergies - itching, rashes and hives.

This Russian medicine is not prescribed to people who do not tolerate its components well, or to children under 12 years of age. Use by pregnant and breastfeeding women is prohibited due to the lack of data regarding the study of the effect on the fetus or child during therapeutic treatment. The only known fact is that the active substance of the drug (desloratadine) passes into breast milk.

Ezlor has a number of side effects, but they occur very rarely. Negative reactions of the body to this drug can include headaches, sleepiness, vomiting, increased urticaria and other skin rashes, and rapid heartbeat.

Desal – (Switzerland)

An inexpensive antiallergic remedy from a Swiss manufacturer alleviates the body's condition with rhinitis, which is accompanied by a stuffy nose, itching of its mucous membrane, and also affects the visual organs. Desal is prescribed for allergies with manifestations on the skin.

The ban on taking Dezal applies to patients with intolerance to its main and auxiliary components, women who are lactation and pregnant, and children under 12 years of age. In addition, Desal should be taken with caution by people with kidney dysfunction.

The most common side effects that patients experience during therapy are fatigue, headaches and dry mouth.

Desloratadine – (the most affordable analogue of the drug Erius from the Russian manufacturer)

The medicine has a name of the same name as its active ingredient. It is prescribed to people who have chronic and seasonal allergic reactions, who do not have a tight wallet and cannot afford such an expensive drug as Erius.

Contraindications to Desloratadine include sensitivity to the composition of the tablets, lactation and pregnancy, as well as age under 12 years. Patients with severe kidney disease should be careful during treatment with this drug.

Side effects: headaches, chronic fatigue, rapid heartbeat, as well as digestive system upset, which results in diarrhea and gag reflexes.

Let's summarize the alternative options for Erius substitutes

Erius is certainly one of the best antiallergic drugs, but not everyone can be satisfied with its cost. However, people who have various seasonal or chronic allergic reactions need not worry. Any Russian pharmacy has a wide range of pharmaceutical products, among which you can easily find inexpensive but effective substitutes that are similar in action or composition.

In the fight against allergies: the drug Erius and its cheap analogues

There are many diseases of an allergic nature: eczema, swelling, severe itching, urticaria, rhinitis - and this is not a complete list. According to statistics, a quarter of the population of our planet suffers from rhinitis - inflammation of the nasal mucosa due to exposure to an allergen. An allergic reaction in the form of hives is also very common. To relieve allergy symptoms, a variety of medications are prescribed, the most popular of which is Erius.

Erius: instructions for use

Indications for use

Erius is a broad-spectrum antihistamine that blocks peripheral histamine H1 receptors. The pharmacological action of the drug is the release of histamine from allergy-affected cells, resulting in relief of inflammatory processes. In addition, the drug has an effect on capillaries, reducing their permeability, and also eliminates severe itching and skin rashes, stops discharge from the nasal cavity, and relieves allergic cough.

The drug can be used both for the treatment and prevention of allergic diseases.

Release form

Erius is available in two dosage forms: round tablets and clear orange syrup. The tablets are coated with a film that dissolves in the intestines.

The main active ingredient of Erius is desloratadine, the concentration of which is 5 mg per tablet or 500 mcg per 1 ml of syrup. White wax and sodium are used to form the tablets. The syrup contains sucrose, sodium benzoate, citric acid, yellow dye, sorbitol and propylene glycol.

Erius is available in packages of 7, 14, 21 or 10, 20, 30 tablets, syrup - in bottles of 60 and 120 ml.

Mode of application

The drug in tablets is taken once a day orally two hours before meals. In severe cases, the doctor may double the dose. Erius syrup is prescribed to children, and the required dose is calculated depending on the age of the child. Thus, children from one to two years old, according to the instructions, should take 2 ml of syrup per day, children from two to four years old - 4 ml, from four to six years old - 5 ml, from six to twelve years old - 10 ml. Teenagers over twelve years of age are allowed to take 10 ml of syrup twice a day.

The duration of treatment is determined by the attending physician; generally it ranges from five to ten days.

Contraindications and side effects

Like any other medicine, Erius has contraindications and side effects. Due to the lack of clinical data on the safety of taking Erius during pregnancy, the medicine cannot be used by pregnant women during the first and second trimester. Breastfeeding is contraindicated while taking the drug, since the active substance desloratadine is excreted in milk.

Use of the drug by children under one year of age may be unsafe or may not produce the desired effect. Children under one year of age rarely suffer from allergic rhinitis; A baby's runny nose is usually caused by an infection.

People with individual fructose intolerance and glucose-galactose malabsorption should refrain from taking the syrup, since it contains sorbitol and sucrose.

The drug is not recommended for people with type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus, liver and kidney diseases, stomach ulcers, chronic blood diseases and previous myocardial infarction.

Erius tablets may have side effects on the central nervous system, digestive and circulatory systems. Long-term use of the drug may worsen digestion. Some people report drowsiness and lethargy after using the medicine. The instructions for the drug also indicate such side effects as the appearance of urticaria and swelling of the nasal mucosa.

The effect of Erius syrup may be accompanied by a slight increase in body temperature (within one degree), bloating and headache.

Erius: analogues

Is it worth using analogues?

As you can see, the drug has a fairly extensive list of adverse reactions and restrictions on use. Undoubtedly, this indicates a high degree of study of the drug, but what about those who, due to individual intolerance to the auxiliary components, cannot use Erius? In addition, with prolonged use, the body develops a habit of the components of the drug, as a result of which it requires replacement with an analogue of a similar composition.

Another argument in favor of using Erius analogues is its price. The cost of a package of ten tablets (one or two courses of administration) is almost 600 rubles; 60 ml of syrup will cost 20 rubles more. Moreover, if the syrup is purchased to treat a child over 6 years old, a 60 ml bottle will not be enough even for one course of treatment. In this case, especially if the whole family suffers from allergies, it makes sense to look at the display case where analogues of the drug are located.

When selecting an analogue for any drug, it is necessary to remember that one drug cannot be an exact copy of another and at the same time cost several times less. Before purchasing an analogue drug, you should definitely consult with your doctor: knowing the characteristics of the patient and the disease, he will select the most effective remedy.

How to choose an analogue drug?

When choosing an analogue, you must be guided by the following considerations. Firstly, the active ingredient of both drugs must be the same. It is best if the concentration of the substance matches. According to these criteria, the following products based on micronized desloratadine or its hemisulfate can be called analogues of Erius:

Of the listed drugs, it is preferable to use the Russian analogue Lordestin, since it has better digestibility, low cost and only in one case out of a hundred causes side effects.

Secondly, the analogue must belong to the same generation as the drug being replaced. Thus, the older Xizal and Tavegil, which have a lower cost, cannot completely replace Erius, since it belongs to the latest generation of antihistamines.

Finally, it is worth paying attention to the price of the drug. For example, 10 Lordestin tablets cost almost 100 rubles less than a similar package of Erius. If you use the medicine frequently, it is more profitable to buy a package of 30 tablets: in this case, the savings are even greater.

Generic drugs

Generics are medicines that differ in composition and method of administration, but at the same time have a similar effect on the body. Generic drugs are known for the fact that their price can be an order of magnitude lower than that of more popular “competitors”. As a rule, the active ingredients in generic antihistamines are sehifenadine, mebhydrolin and loratadine. It is advisable to use these drugs if you are intolerant to desloratadine.

The list of generic antihistamines contains many names, among which are:

Their medicinal effect also consists of blocking H1 type histamine receptors. However, unlike Erius, their spectrum of action is much wider: they can be prescribed not only for allergic rhinitis and urticaria, but also for conjunctivitis, lacrimation and febrile conditions. These generics are well tolerated by the body and do not affect the central nervous system.

Analogues of Erius in other forms

Medicines in liquid form are not as convenient to use as tablets, but their effectiveness is much higher, since the required concentration of the drug in the blood plasma is achieved faster. In addition, drugs in this form are more easily eliminated from the body. Antihistamines in liquid form are prescribed for oral administration; Unfortunately, drugs with similar effects are not available in the form of an injection solution.

Among the generic syrups, the following can be noted:

These drugs are also available in tablet form if for some reason it is impossible or undesirable to use syrup. Oral solutions (Alersis, Alernova) and suspensions (Loran) are also a worthy alternative to Erius.

Now there are many different drugs (domestic and foreign) for the treatment and prevention of such an unpleasant disease as allergies. Thanks to the large assortment, you can choose a medicine to suit your needs: in the required volume and release form, with the required active ingredient.

Despite the fact that the antihistamine drug Erius and its analogues are sold in pharmacies without a doctor's prescription, you should consult a specialist before using them. It is the attending physician, knowing the characteristics of the disease, who will say which drug is best to use and determine the required dosage. When taking a medicine purchased without a doctor's prescription, you must carefully follow the instructions.

PREVALIN ALERJI

How does Prevalin Alergy work?

Prevalin Alergy acts directly at the place where the allergic reaction begins - on the nasal mucosa.

Gel at rest, liquid after shaking

After shaking, the Prevalin Alergy substance is transformed into a liquid for easy spraying on the mucous membrane. Once sprayed, Prevalin Alergy evenly coats the nasal mucosa and transforms back into a gel to protect the mucous membrane from contact with allergens.

The microgel formula of Prevalin Allergy acts on 3 levels:

1. microgel forms an impenetrable barrier on the nasal mucosa

2. blocks allergens and prevents the onset of an allergic reaction

3. promotes the removal of allergens from the mucous membrane naturally, interacting with the natural system.

Long-acting antihistamine, blocker of peripheral histamine H1 receptors . Desloratadine is the primary active metabolite of loratadine. Inhibits the cascade of allergic inflammation reactions, incl. release of proinflammatory cytokines, including interleukins IL-4, IL-6, IL-8, IL-13, release of proinflammatory chemokines, production of superoxide anions by activated polymorphonuclear neutrophils, adhesion and chemotaxis of eosinophils, release of adhesion molecules such as P-selectin, IgE - mediated release of histamine, prostaglandin D2 and leukotriene C4 .

The effect of the drug Erius begins within 30 minutes after oral administration and continues for 24 hours.

When used in adults and adolescents for 14 days at a dose of 5 mg to 20 mg 1 time / day, no signs of clinically significant accumulation of desloratadine were detected. Simultaneous food intake or simultaneous consumption of grapefruit juice does not affect the distribution of desloratadine (when taken at a dose of 7.5 mg 1 time / day).

Desloratadine is excreted from the body as a glucuronide compound, and only a small portion is excreted unchanged by the kidneys (<2%) and intestines (<7%).

T 1/2 averages 27 hours.

- allergic rhinitis (elimination or relief of sneezing, nasal congestion, nasal mucus, itching of the nose, itching of the palate, itching and redness of the eyes, watery eyes);

- urticaria (reduction or elimination of skin itching, rash).

- lactation (breastfeeding);

- age up to 1 year (for syrup);

- age up to 12 years (for film-coated tablets);

- hereditarily transmitted diseases (fructose intolerance, glucose/galactose malabsorption or sucrase/isomaltase deficiency in the body) due to the presence of sucrose and sorbitol in the syrup;

- hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

with caution in severe renal failure.

Film-coated tablets

Adults and adolescents aged 12 years and older are prescribed 5 mg 1 time / day, regardless of meals, preferably at the same time of day.

The tablet should be swallowed whole, without chewing, with a small amount of water.

Children aged 1 to 5 years are prescribed 1.25 mg (2.5 ml of syrup) 1 time / day; children aged 6 to 11 years - 2.5 mg (5 ml syrup) 1 time / day; adults and adolescents over 12 years old - 5 mg (10 ml syrup) 1 time / day.

The syrup is taken orally, regardless of food intake, with a small amount of water.

Film-coated tablets

General reactions: increased fatigue (1.2%), headache (0.6%).

From the cardiovascular system: very rarely - tachycardia, palpitations.

From the digestive system: dry mouth (0.8%); very rarely - increased activity of liver enzymes, increased bilirubin concentration.

Allergic reactions: very rarely - anaphylaxis, rash.

In children under 2 years of age, the following adverse events were observed when using Erius, the frequency of which was slightly higher than when using placebo (≥1/100 to <1/10): diarrhea (3.7%), increased body temperature (2.3% ), insomnia (2.3%).

In children aged 2 to 11 years, the incidence of side effects with Erius was the same as with placebo.

In adults and adolescents aged 12 years and older, when using the drug Erius, the frequency of side effects was slightly higher compared to placebo (≥1/100 to <1/10), of which fatigue, dry mouth, and headache were most often noted. .

When using Erius in adults and adolescents at the recommended dose of 5 mg/day, the incidence of drowsiness was no higher than when using placebo.

The following side effects have been reported very rarely (<1/10,000).

From the side of the central nervous system: dizziness, drowsiness.

From the cardiovascular system: tachycardia, palpitations.

From the digestive system: abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, dyspepsia, diarrhea, increased levels of bilirubin, liver enzymes in the blood serum.

Allergic reactions: anaphylaxis, angioedema, itching, rash, urticaria.

Symptoms: Taking a dose 5 times the recommended dose did not result in any symptoms.

In clinical studies, daily use of desloratadine up to 20 mg for 14 days in adults and adolescents was not associated with statistically or clinically significant changes in the cardiovascular system. In a clinical pharmacological study, the use of desloratadine at a dose of 45 mg/day (9 times higher than recommended) for 10 days did not cause prolongation of the QT interval and was not accompanied by serious side effects.

Treatment: in case of accidental ingestion of a large amount of the drug - gastric lavage, intake of activated charcoal; if necessary, symptomatic therapy. Desloratadine is not eliminated by hemodialysis; the effectiveness of peritoneal dialysis has not been established.

Studies have not revealed interactions with azithromycin, ketoconazole, erythromycin, fluoxetine and cimetidine.

Erius does not enhance the effects of ethanol on the central nervous system.

Eating does not affect the effectiveness of the drug.

There have been no studies of the effectiveness of the drug Erius for rhinitis of infectious etiology.

Use in pediatrics

The effectiveness and safety of Erius in syrup form in children under 1 year of age has not been established.

Impact on the ability to drive a car and operate machinery

At the recommended dose, Erius does not affect the ability to drive vehicles or operate machinery.

The use of the drug during pregnancy is not recommended due to the lack of clinical data on the safety of its use during this period.

Desloratadine is excreted in breast milk, so the use of Erius during breastfeeding is not recommended.

The effectiveness and safety of using Erius in syrup form in children under 1 year of age has not been established.

Contraindicated under the age of 1 year (for syrup), under the age of 12 years (for film-coated tablets).

In most cases, rhinitis in children under 2 years of age is infectious in nature. There have been no studies of the effectiveness of Erius for rhinitis of infectious etiology.

Differential diagnosis between allergic rhinitis and rhinitis of other origin in children under 2 years of age presents certain difficulties. The differential diagnosis should include consideration of the presence or absence of foci of infection or structural abnormalities of the upper respiratory tract, a thorough history, examination, and appropriate laboratory tests and skin tests. .
