The effect of the drug is on nonspecific hyperactivity of the membranes of the nasal cavity. Beconase relieves various manifestations of respiratory allergies, eliminates inflammation of the nasal cavity, restores the sense of smell, without leading to changes in the functioning of the immune system.

Once on the nasal mucosa, the substance is quickly absorbed, almost immediately penetrating into the blood.

With prolonged use of the drug, some adverse reactions may occur. Exceeding the dosage specified in the instructions for use is prohibited.

The drug is administered intranasally. According to the instructions, the daily dose of Beconase should not exceed 400 mcg. It is necessary to make 2 injections into each nostril twice a day. Pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics

The main active ingredient is beclamethasone. Beconase has anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory effects.

The active substance of the drug inhibits the release of inflammatory mediators, enhances the production of the phospholipase A2 inhibitor annexin (lipocortin), which reduces the production of arachidonic acid and its metabolites (leukotrienes and prostaglandins).

Beclamethasone inhibits the synthesis of prostaglandins, cyclic endoperoxides and platelet-activating factor.

Beconase inhibits the production of chemotaxis substances, reduces the rate of development of an immediate allergic reaction, and improves mucociliary transport.

The action of beclomethasone reduces the number of mast cells in the mucous membranes of the paranasal sinuses and nasal cavity, reduces swelling and mucus secretion, inhibits the production of macrophages, and reduces the marginal accumulation of neutrophils.

These mechanisms take an active part in the formation of the allergic response. Beclamethasone increases the number of active beta-adrenergic receptors.

When administered intranasally, it has no resorptive effect.

When applied topically in recommended doses, it does not lead to side effects that often occur when using glucocorticosteroids.

Contraindications
