dry cough of any etiology (for colds, flu, whooping cough and other conditions);
suppression of cough in the preoperative and postoperative period, during surgical interventions, bronchoscopy.
Discussion
Same stuff. Apparently there is another virus. We took Omnitus - it helps quickly, but only for dry cough.
. good syrup, helped quickly. I drank it myself, it cleanses the bronchi of adults well, there was nothing to cough with on the 2nd day of treatment, there was no green and a little transparent sputum, but there was a cough, I took Omnitus just to stop coughing. I liked Prospan.
We had a dry cough and was vomiting. The pediatrician prescribed Omnitus syrup. It helped. The eldest is always helped by the blue code in drops.
I agree with the pediatrician. There is also a similar drug, Omnitus, also an antitussive. The pediatrician prescribed it and, due to her inexperience, administered it regularly. The result is obstructive bronchitis. Rub the child with badger fat or doctor mom, it helps a lot. Milk with honey, soda and butter
I completely agree about stoptusin and synecode. It's the same with us. We also tried Omnitus, it doesn’t help either. How old are you now? Is the baby outgrown?
My child was already vomiting from a dry cough. Omnitus syrup was prescribed. Helped.
Omnitus or Sinekod helps with dry skin, and Fluditec is a good mucolytic.
Omnitus helps a lot with this cough. But in general, the doctor should prescribe treatment
The most common cough tablets are the best remedy! 3 times a day after meals))) drinking chamomile and breast milk. Ascorbic acid. Neither lazolvan nor omnitus, nor any other expensive means help us, but only cause addiction)
. There is? My mother (pediatrician) always prescribed Erespal in combination with Codelacom for coughs and colds. The last time I consulted with her on how to treat a cough for a friend’s child, she prescribed Omnitus and Erespal. It helped well and the girl was very pleased; for the first time after such treatment, their dry cough did not turn into bronchitis.
. Ma, by the time the ambulance arrived, everything was fine, but the fact remains a fact. Therefore, I completely ruled out this method of treatment. If you suffer from a dry cough, bronchitis, laryngitis... then I just give Omnitus, the attack quickly passes, and even after a couple of days there is no trace of the cough itself.
Why is there a dry cough? If you have bronchitis or tracheitis, you can’t! If there is pharyngitis or laryngitis, then I give the eldest either Stoptussin drops, or Sinecode, or Omnitus. All antitussive, good for relieving coughing attacks
I liked the omnitus, the cough quickly turned into a wet cough, and the child coughed in his sleep, it was terrible. Synecode apparently doesn’t help us anymore.
. so many dogs ate on dry cough. Oil instillations of chlorophyllipt and eucalyptus tablets help, but since the age of 8 they themselves recently treated pharyngitis for their husband with libexin tablets, and omnitus syrup helped their son twice.
I give sinecode or omnitus, nothing else helps us, this is the only treatment I’ve been using for two years now.
. At night the temperature did not rise to 40. Erispal helps us with a cough, but it is for a wet cough. You can also use Ascoril, all in syrups, it is also for wet coughs. If your cough is dry, you can take Omnitus syrup! Well, I rinse my nose with saline solution, and at night, if my nose is stuffy, I drop Nazivin. but only at night to make it easier to sleep! During the day I don’t drip anything into my nose, just saline solution. We have it in an aerosol. aquamaris aqualor, aquanormine, it’s more convenient to just spray than to drip.
Good afternoon My youngest was sick, it was truly terrible. I had a cough for 3 months. First until you vomit, then it gets easier! We were prescribed Sinekod and Omnitus. The humid air helped, but the water did not. I started drinking and it got even worse.
1. I bring it down to above 38 at night. 2. We rinse the nose with Aqualor Baby every 2-3 hours. I give Sinupret drops. 3. We use inhalations for wet coughs. I had a dry, severe cough at night, and Omnitus quickly helped turn a dry cough into a wet one. For a reddish throat, I take Miramistin and Panavir Inlight. 4. We do not accept. Although they are prescribed every time. 5. In case of white plaque on the tonsils, it was prescribed immediately. And I never had a chance to drink, there were no complications.
Anh, I prescribed Masha Omnitus cough syrup, which helped a lot.
If the cough is dry, then Sinekod helps a lot. Tested on myself more than once. Omnitus seems to have the same composition, but it doesn’t help me.

Cough syrup 'Omnitus' - review
Analogue of Sinecode. An excellent tool. Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding!
Good afternoon. I would like to introduce you to a very good remedy for dry cough, Omnitus. Have used it throughout the year.
Cough syrup 'Omnitus' is an analogue of Sinekod (we were also treated with it, the consumption of Sinekod is simply fantastic! and so is the price!)
Omnitus syrup and Sinekod have the same active ingredient Butamirate citrate.
Release form: Syrup and there are also lozenges.
1 ml of syrup contains:
Butamirate citrate 0.8 mg;
Sorbitol 70% (non-crystallizing) – 405.00 mg, glycerol – 290.00 mg, sodium saccharin – 0.60 mg, benzoic acid – 1.15 mg, vanillin – 0.60 mg, anise oil – 0.15 mg, ethanol 96% - 3.00 µl, sodium hydroxide - 0.10 mg, purified water - up to 1.00 ml.
- dry cough of any etiology (for colds, flu, whooping cough and other conditions);
- to suppress cough in the preoperative and postoperative period, during surgical interventions, bronchoscopy.
— I trimester of pregnancy;
- children under 3 years of age.
Adults are prescribed 6 measuring spoons (30 ml) 3 times a day; children over 9 years old (body weight over 40 kg) - 3 scoops (15 ml) 4 times a day; children aged 6 to 9 years (body weight) - 3 scoops (15 ml) 3 times a day; children aged 3 to 6 years (body weight) - 2 scoops (10 ml) 3 times a day.
The syrup has a hard-to-open lid, which I think is very good. Because the syrup is delicious, kids can drink it! But it was not there. It’s true that I don’t always manage to open the bottle myself; I have to ask my husband.
I really liked the syrup. Omnitus turned out to be much more economical and effective than the sensational Sinekod. For example, in order to see an improvement in a dry cough, you had to drink 2 bottles of Sinecod, 200 ml each, and they cost almost 400 rubles each, then Omnitus required a little more than half of ONE bottle and the cough WENT COMPLETELY!
Now let’s estimate the treatment for Sinekod will cost 800 rubles. And Omnitus costs 200 rubles. I think the difference is colossal!
After using Omnitus syrup, the throat softens very well, and the pain that appears from a constant cough disappears. And much easier when coughing. The cough itself usually disappeared completely by day 3. But with a severe cold like an acute respiratory infection or acute respiratory viral infection, of course, you can’t get by with syrup alone, unfortunately, you will need an integrated approach to the problem.
I would also like to draw your attention to the fact that it can be used during PREGNANCY after the 1st trimester and during breastfeeding! I consider this a great advantage, because... Breastfeeding mothers and expectant mothers are at a loss when it comes to choosing medications! And now the cold season is just beginning, I advise you to take this drug into service
The product is very effective. And affordable. I recommend purchasing, and you don’t have to overpay for advertising!
I wish you and your family good health!
Evgeniya23 recommends Cough Syrup 'Omnitus'
Thanks, now I'll try Omnitus. Some kind of misfortune, my whole family has been suffering from a dry cough for 2 months, but everything in the lungs is clear, and the tests are of a healthy person.
Now my child can already get everything from the refrigerator and from the top shelves of the closet where the first aid kit is. so I hide the delicious syrups higher up, which don’t have such a lid
Treatment of dry cough in children 2 years old, 5 years old and in adults. Did Omnitus syrup help? Instructions for use. Analogs.
The battery of cough syrup bottles has been replenished. After a protracted, persistent cough, one day the youngest child suddenly developed a dry paroxysmal barking cough. Our pediatrician prescribed Omnitus syrup for us.
The cough stopped being so painful, after a few days I started coughing, but this remedy did not completely help me get rid of the cough. I don't recommend it)))
Hi all! During the cold and flu season, I would like to leave a review of Omnitus Anti-Dry Cough Syrup. The therapist prescribed this remedy to us as an effective treatment for cough. Omnitus is sold in this huge box. The composition is duplicated on the packaging and on the bottle of syrup itself.
I wouldn't buy it a second time.
Autumn is the time of colds. And this time has not passed me by. She got over her runny nose pretty quickly and seemed to be feeling healthy when a dry cough appeared. The pharmacy recommended Omnitus syrup, which is inexpensive and supposedly effective. Directions for use: 6 scoops (included) 3 times a day.
Dry cough, goodbye.
I caught a cold. My throat hurt, as always, everything went down and turned into a dry cough. It was impossible not to sleep, not to live! How the attack came, hammered me to tears, until my chest hurt! By the end of the day, my head began to hurt from a painful cough.
How can I replace Sinekod?
One of the most unpleasant symptoms of a cold is a cough. It simply exhausts a person, does not allow him to work and rest in peace, thereby significantly worsening the quality of life. This condition is accompanied by a sore throat and chest pain. If the cough is not treated, complications such as obstructive bronchitis and pneumonia can develop very quickly. The drug Sinekod helps to cope well with this problem, but this medicine is by no means cheap. This is why many people prefer to use Sinecode analogues. These medications are no less effective, but at the same time they are cheaper.
General description of Sinecode
Sinekod is an effective cough medicine. The active substance of the drug is butamirate citrate, which has a bronchodilator effect. The active ingredient makes breathing easier and also helps saturate tissues with oxygen.
Sinekod reduces cough attacks due to its effect on the cells of the central nervous system. The medication has anti-inflammatory and expectorant properties. Thanks to this, it can be used for dry and debilitating cough.
The instructions indicate that the medicine in the form of drops can be given to infants starting from 2 months of age, starting from the age of 3, children are prescribed the medicine in syrup, and from the age of 6, children can be prescribed pills.
Indications for the use of Sinecode are the following diseases and conditions:
- dry, debilitating cough;
- whooping cough and parawhooping cough;
- bronchitis and tracheitis.
The drug can also be prescribed for coughs in smokers, as well as for irritating coughs that accompany pathologies such as laryngitis and pharyngitis.
Sinekod should not be prescribed to pregnant women, especially in the first three months of pregnancy. People who have pulmonary hemorrhages should not take this medicine.
Analogs
You can find similar drugs in the pharmacy chain, but much cheaper. There are analogues that contain the same active substance, and there are drugs that are similar in their properties.
Codelac Neo
An inexpensive substitute for Sinecode is the domestic drug Codelac Neo. This drug has the same composition and identical release forms. Codelac Neo can also be used from 2 months of age.
Contraindications are the same as for the original drug. Drops are used to treat children under 3 years of age; syrup can be given from 3 years of age.
To prevent an overdose, you must use the measuring device that is included in the package.
Omnitus
Omnitus can also become a substitute for the original medicine. The active substance of this drug is the same butamirate citrate. Omnitus is produced in the form of a syrup, which is used to treat children from 3 years of age and adults, and in the form of regular tablets, which can be prescribed from 6 years of age.
You should not take the drug if you are hypersensitive to certain components, or if you are pregnant.
Omnitus is prescribed with caution to nursing mothers, since the effect on breast milk has not been studied.
Stoptussin
If you want to buy an effective cough medicine, but a little cheaper, you should opt for Stoptussin. This medicine contains natural substances and can be used for both dry and wet cough.
Stoptussin is prescribed for the following respiratory tract pathologies:
- Bronchopneumonia.
- Tracheitis in any form;
- Cough with whooping cough and parawhooping cough;
- Bronchial asthma, non-allergic.
This analogue of Sinecode for children is perfect for treatment. The drug is characterized by pronounced antitussive, bronchodilator and anti-inflammatory effects. In addition, Stoptussin has mucolytic properties, while Sinekod does not have a similar effect.
When choosing a cough medicine, it is worth considering that Sinekod can be prescribed even to infants, and Stoptussin can only be used from 1 year of age.
Bronholitin
Bronholitin syrup can be prescribed to children from 3 years of age. The drug contains ephedrine and basil oil. This medicine very quickly helps to get rid of coughing attacks. Active substances expand the lumen of the bronchi, relieve inflammation and promote mild mucus removal.
Broncholitin is considered a rather toxic medication, so it is very important to follow the dosage.
Libexin
This drug has an anesthetic and bronchodilator effect, but at the same time slightly reduces the activity of the respiratory center. Medicine is prescribed for non-productive cough, which is caused by various reasons.
Libexin is considered a good analogue of Sinecode; it is produced in the form of syrup and can be used to treat adults and children starting from 2 years of age.
Libexin has a number of contraindications. The medicine should not be taken for ulcerative pathologies, increased secretion of bronchial secretions and chronic kidney diseases.
They try not to prescribe Libexin to women during pregnancy.
Erespal
This medicine helps even with a severe cough. Erespal can be prescribed for tracheitis, bronchial asthma and bronchitis. This drug is often prescribed in the complex treatment of pneumonia.
Erespal has a fairly impressive list of contraindications; in addition, it can cause various side effects. Adverse effects occur in the heart and digestive tract.
This medicine is considered a very effective analogue of Sinekod, but its price is an order of magnitude higher than the original drug.
For patients who experience bronchospasm, take Erespal with great caution.
Ascoril
This is a combination drug that contains three active substances. It is these components that give the medicine mucolytic, expectorant and anti-inflammatory properties. Available in the form of syrup with a pleasant taste and smell, tablets. Ascoril can be prescribed for the treatment of acute and chronic pathologies of the respiratory organs.
Ascoril helps with bronchitis, pneumonia, asthma, parawhooping cough, tracheitis and tuberculosis. The cost of the medication varies greatly, depending on the dose of the active substance.
Licorice root syrup
Herbal syrups are similar to the original drug not in composition, but in medicinal characteristics. Licorice root syrup is a completely natural remedy; it has a mild effect on the body, but it cannot be considered a highly effective cough remedy. This medicine is recommended to be prescribed to children and adults in combination with other medications.
The advantage of this syrup is that it is low-toxic. The herbal remedy has few contraindications and side effects. The price of syrup is low.
Licorice root syrup can be used not only to treat coughs, but also some pathologies of the digestive tract.
Mukaltin
Mucaltin is a time-tested medicine that treats coughs in adults and young children. This product contains only natural ingredients that give the medicine mucolytic, expectorant and weak antiseptic properties.
Mucaltin tablets can be dissolved, chewed, or pre-prepared into syrup. To treat children, the tablets can be pre-crushed and filled with a small amount of warm water, just ½ teaspoon is enough.
This medicine is very cheap, but it is very effective for coughs caused by colds, bronchitis and even whooping cough. Before starting treatment, you need to study the instructions and do not exceed the dosage.
The instructions state that Mucaltin is not prescribed for the treatment of young children, but despite this, pediatricians often prescribe this particular medicine for the treatment of children.
Which is better Sinecode or analogues
In some cases, analogues may be even better than Sinekod. Thus, herbal cough preparations have fewer contraindications and side effects, and therefore are more preferable for the treatment of young children.
Some substitutes have greater healing properties than the original drug. In addition, for many patients the price becomes decisive; you should not overpay if you can buy a similar medication with the same properties.
You should immediately discuss possible replacements with your doctor. An experienced doctor will be able to choose the optimal medicine that is suitable both in price and in its characteristics.

Omnitus or Sinekod?
A cough itself is an unambiguous signal of a malfunction in the body associated with some disease, especially if it persists for a long time. Therefore, before dealing with this signal, it is very important to determine its cause. When the diagnosis has been established and treatment of the cause has begun, but the symptoms of cough continue to cause significant inconvenience, you can proceed to its relief with the help of drugs, which will be discussed below.
There are effective remedies for the symptomatic treatment of this disease; the main thing is to select them correctly, understanding the differences between them. The main criterion for choosing medications is the nature of the cough. For a wet cough, agents are used that thin the mucus and improve expectoration, and for a dry cough, they suppress the cough reflex. The last group of medications includes, for example, Omnitus or Sinekod.
Omnitus and Sinecode - what's the difference?
Both of these drugs are antitussive drugs with a central mechanism of action and soothe cough by directly acting on the cough center. Prescribed for the symptomatic treatment of dry paroxysmal cough of various origins. This may be a cough that occurs before surgery or in the postoperative period, during surgery or bronchoscopy, as well as whooping cough.
Omnitus and Sinekod contain the same active substance - butamirate citrate . This compound suppresses cough and also has a bronchodilator effect, reduces resistance in the airways and improves oxygen saturation of blood cells (oxygenation), making it easier to breathe. Butamirate, by its pharmacological properties and chemical nature, is not an opioid alkaloid.
The difference between Omnitus and Sinecode is that the drug is available in both liquid (syrup) and solid (tablets) dosage form. The tablets contain 20 or 50 mg of the active ingredient per dose, the package contains 10 tablets, and the syrup is 0.8 mg per 1 ml (volume 200 ml).
Omnitus is produced in Serbia at the Hemofarm plant.
Tablets "Omnitus" 20 mg
Sinekod is produced only in liquid form - children's drops for internal use (20 ml volume) and syrup (100 or 200 ml bottles). The children's form is approved for use from the age of two months, contains 5 mg of butamirate in 1 ml and is dosed dropwise when used.
A significant component difference between Sinecode and Omnitus is in the form of syrup. Here Sinecode has a concentration of the active substance that is twice as high as the butamirate content in a similar dosage form of Omnitus (1.5 mg per 1 ml versus 0.8 mg).
The manufacturer of Sinecode is Novartis Consumer, located in Switzerland.
Regarding women during pregnancy, it should be noted that no studies have been conducted on expectant mothers, so there is no reliable data on the effect of butamirate on the child. In this regard, these drugs can be used under strict medical supervision in the second and third trimesters only in extreme cases, with careful weighing of the “harm to the fetus/benefit to the woman” ratio. There is also no data on the content of butamirate in breast milk, so nursing women should not use these medications.
The choice of Sinekod or Omnitus - which is better - is determined by the person for whom the drug is purchased, since the effects of these drugs are almost similar (Sinekod can cause drowsiness). For small children aged from two months to three years, only Sinecod in the form of drops is allowed, and, for example, for those who do not tolerate sweet syrups well or for those who have an allergic reaction to various flavors and sweeteners, Omnitus tablets are best suited. Tablets are also more convenient to take with you on a trip, as they take up less space.
Contraindications and relative price differences
The cost of one 200 ml bottle of Sinekod syrup is twice the cost of a similar bottle of Omnitus syrup. It is worth considering that the dosage in the same volume of Sinecod is twice as high as that of the opponent, so the price differences are not so significant if a relatively long-term use is expected.

Which is better for coughing Omnitus or Sinekod
A debilitating nonproductive cough is an indication for the use of antitussive drugs. Among them there is a group of drugs that act directly on the cough center of the brain. Centrally acting antitussive drugs include Omnitus and Sinekod. There is much in common between these medications, but there are also differences that make patients think about what is better to choose, Sinekod or Omnitus.
Comparison of drugs
It is necessary to start with the fact that both medications under consideration contain butamirate citrate as an active component.
This substance has the following medicinal properties:
- suppresses cough by directly affecting the cells of the cough center in the medulla oblongata;
- dilates the bronchi;
- makes breathing easier;
- increases blood oxygen saturation.
Butamirate citrate has no effect on the inflammatory process, infectious agents, quality, or quantity of sputum. They do not treat diseases, but only eliminate their symptom - cough.
It is advisable to use butamirate citrate for prolonged non-productive cough caused by acute respiratory diseases of infectious and non-infectious origin. In addition, it is prescribed to patients before and after bronchoscopy, after operations and intubation anesthesia (as a result of these procedures, coughing often occurs, which prevents the patient from recovering normally).
It is not advisable to relieve dry cough with butamirate citrate in expectant mothers (especially in the first trimester of pregnancy), breastfeeding women, as well as in people who are intolerant to this substance.
Important! Sinekod and Omnitus should not be taken for a wet cough or combined with drugs that increase the amount of bronchial sputum. This is fraught with serious consequences - blockage of the respiratory tract, spread of infection to the lower parts of the respiratory tract.
Thus, the indications for use, as well as the contraindications for the drugs in question, are no different, since they have the same active ingredient - butamirate citrate. However, they cannot be called completely identical (complete analogues) - there is some difference between them.
Sinecode, pros and cons
The main advantages of this drug include:
- Two forms of release (syrup, drops), allowing for the treatment of cough in representatives of different ages.
- Lack of addiction to the active substance - Sinecode does not contain codeine, which is an opioid derivative and is part of some antitussive medications.
- Possibility of use in patients with diabetes - the medicine does not contain glucose.
- High cost (in its group of antitussives it is one of the most expensive).
- Not available in tablet form - not all adults are comfortable taking liquid medicines for coughs.
- Contains alcohol (ethanol is present in both drops and syrup), so there are restrictions for use in certain categories of patients - pregnant, lactating women, people suffering from liver disease, undergoing treatment for alcohol addiction.
Omnitus, pros and cons
The drug has a number of advantages:
- Two forms of release (tablets, syrup). The presence of a tablet form allows you to bypass the restrictions associated with the alcohol content of the medicine. In addition, the tablets are much more convenient to take - they do not need to be dosed using a measuring spoon.
- Tablets are available with different contents of the active substance - 20 and 50 mg. A smaller dosage is used to eliminate cough in children, a larger dosage is used in adults, thereby eliminating the need to divide the tablet.
- Affordable price (Omnitus is in the middle price category).
- Contains no glucose or codeine.
- Not suitable for the treatment of cough in children under 3 years of age.
- The syrup contains alcohol, which entails the restrictions on use described above.
What is the difference between Sinekod and Omnitus?
Sinekod and Omnitus differ from each other, first of all, in the forms of release and the content of the active substance:
- Sinekod is presented with syrup and cough drops, Omnitus - with syrup and tablets.
- 1 ml of Sinecode syrup contains 1.5 mg of butamirate citrate, Omnitus syrup contains 800 mcg, that is, almost half as much. Accordingly, you need to take less Sinecod per dose.
However, the most significant difference between Omnitus and Sinekod lies in the age restrictions for use:
- Omnitus syrup is contraindicated for patients under 3 years of age; tablets of the same name are prescribed only from 6 years of age.
- Sinekod drops can treat cough even in infants from 2 months of age. This remedy is a favorite among modern antitussive medications used in pediatrics.
Thus, the differences between the drugs under consideration relate mainly to the practical side (dosage, age restrictions), but not to therapeutic effectiveness - the drugs act exactly the same.
What is better Omnitus or Sinekod for cough?
First of all, it’s worth determining whether Sinecode or Omnitus is needed at all. In acute respiratory diseases, the use of antitussive drugs is possible only when there is no inflammatory content in the respiratory tract - sputum. If there is phlegm, it needs to be helped to come out, and not block the natural reflex of clearing the bronchi - coughing.
An adult suffering from a dry cough or obsessive coughing can take cough medicine on his own, strictly following the instructions. If your health does not improve in the coming days, you should definitely go to the doctor. Uncontrolled use of antitussives is dangerous to health.
Which medicine is better to choose, Omnitus or Sinekod? There is no “winner” among these drugs - they act the same, both are produced in Europe and are well tolerated by patients. The choice can only be influenced by the age and preferences of the cougher (as mentioned above, not all patients are comfortable taking syrups). In addition, if the patient has problems with sugar or contraindications related to alcohol, it is better to give preference to the tablet form of butamirate citrate.
Conclusion
Sinekod and Omnitus contain butamirate citrate, so in relation to cough they act in the same way - they suppress the cough reflex. However, these drugs cannot be called absolute analogues - they are available in different dosage forms and have different concentrations of the active substance. The use of the antitussives in question is limited to clear indications, therefore, in order not to harm your health, you should start taking them only after consulting a doctor.

Which is better to choose Omnitus or Sinekod
Omnitus or Sinekod, which is better for cough? This is a question many patients ask. In this case, it is important to identify the cause of coughing attacks, what exactly they will be and how long the disease lasts. Only after an accurate diagnosis has been established can a treatment be chosen. Cough is only a side effect or symptom, and the underlying disease must be treated separately. Various methods are used for this. What is the difference between Sinekod and Omnitus?
Characteristics of drugs
There are several types of remedies to treat cough. Some of them promote the separation of sputum, while others will suppress the occurrence of attacks of dry cough.
The two medications are analogues that can relieve the patient from coughing attacks.
They can be prescribed:
- before the operation;
- during recovery after surgery;
- after bronchoscopy;
- when whooping cough is detected.
These remedies can relieve the desire to cough. These two medicines contain the same main active substance. It is butamirate citrate
It promotes:
- Relief from cough.
- Dilation of the bronchi.
- Improving the functioning of the respiratory system.
- Good oxygen saturation of the body.
Omnitus can be purchased in the form of tablets or syrup. They are developed on a chemical basis. This drug is produced by the Hemofarm company, which is located in Serbia.
The medicine Sinekod is produced only in the form of drops or syrup. It can be prescribed to patients aged 2 months and older. But there is a special children's uniform for this. It is produced in Switzerland.

You lead the right lifestyle
You are a fairly active person who cares and thinks about your respiratory system and health in general, continue to play sports, lead a healthy lifestyle and your body will delight you throughout your life. But do not forget to undergo examinations on time, maintain your immunity, this is very important, do not overcool, avoid severe physical and strong emotional overload. Try to minimize contact with sick people; if forced contact, do not forget about protective equipment (mask, washing your hands and face, clearing your respiratory tract).
It's time to think about what you are doing wrong...

Drug differences
What's the difference between Omnitus and Sinecode?
The main difference between two similar preparations is considered to be that when using syrup, the concentration of the main substance in them will differ significantly. In Sinekod it will be twice as large.
Concentration of the main substance in the Omnitus preparation:
- tablets – 20 milligrams;
- tablets – 50 milligrams;
- in syrup - 0.8 milligrams per 1 milliliter.
Concentration in Sinecode:
- In syrup - 1.5 milligrams per 1 milliliter.
- In children's drops - 5 milligrams per 1 milliliter.
The use of any of these drugs has not been studied in patients during pregnancy. There may be no harm to the woman, but the effect of the main substance on the unborn child is unknown. Therefore, the use of these drugs should only be carried out as prescribed by a doctor. Especially in the later stages of pregnancy.
When feeding, you need to do the same and evaluate the need for drug treatment or refusal of it.
Contraindications and differences in use
When choosing a medicine, you need to take into account possible contraindications. In terms of their effect on cough treatment, they are almost similar. Sinekod has a side effect, which is expressed in increased drowsiness. Very young patients are prescribed only drops.
If the patient cannot tolerate sweet syrups and becomes allergic, tablets can be used. This dosage form is convenient; you can always have the tablets with you.
Differences and similarities of drugs:
- use during pregnancy in any form is undesirable;
- syrups can be used for patients over 3 years of age;
- drops are used for children from 2 months;
- If prescribed by a doctor, you can use: a tablet form of two drugs during pregnancy, a dosage of 20 mg for children under 6 years of age, 50 mg for all patients.
What is the cost of the medicine:
- Sinekod costs from 195 rubles to 575 rubles in a pharmacy. This will depend on the dosage form and dosage.
- Omniouts costs about 118 rubles.
When purchasing a medicine, it is necessary to take into account the patient’s age, general state of health, and individual characteristics of the person. The concentration of the main substance will determine the duration of treatment. These two drugs have a different manufacturer and price. But the main difference is the dosage.
It is possible to find out clearly which is better to use, Sinekod or Omnitus, only when treating each patient individually. A doctor must be involved in this. Any use of medications on your own can be harmful to your health.
