The particle size of the inhaled substance allows it to reach the lowest parts of the respiratory system and have a local therapeutic effect. One such device is the Omron NE-C24. It has a number of advantages compared to other inhalers from this company.
The Omron NE-C24 nebulizer is a compressor-type inhaler, available in two types: regular and for children.
The mechanism of operation of the compressor apparatus is based on the formation of particles less than 5 microns in size from the medicinal solution. This is achieved by passing a strong stream of air through the tank with the medicine, breaking the liquid solution into a fine cloud. The advantages of this spraying of the medicine are:
- the formation of small-sized particles that can penetrate the smallest bronchioles in diameter;
- the ability to use the device at high patient body temperatures (up to 38.5 degrees);
- no damage to the structure of the drug substance.
As a rule, nebulizers of this type are characterized by large dimensions and significant weight. During operation, they make a lot of noise, which causes discomfort to the patient. Often infants and small children are afraid of inhalation procedures due to the significant noise from the device and its frightening appearance. Especially for these cases, the Omron company has released a second version of the nebulizer - Omron NE-C24 Kids.
Unlike the usual model, this device is presented in yellow and is equipped with a mask for infants, which makes the use of the device possible from the first day of a baby’s life. A yellow bear cub and a pink bunny, which are easily attached to different structures of the compressor and containers for medicines, help to distract attention from the medical procedure.
The Omron NE-C24 nebulizer is a compressor portable device that is intended for use by both adults and children. Due to its small size (98x142x72 mm) and weight (270 g), the device does not take up much space and is easily transported from place to place.
The inhaler package includes:
- mask for an adult;
- mask for a child;
- mask for infants (only for the Omron NE-C24 kids model);
- air tubes;
- 5 replaceable filters.
All parts are placed in a convenient case, which saves space when storing the device. The presence of masks of different sizes allows all family members, from any age, to use the inhaler. The nebulizer operates from the mains and is designed for 20 minutes of continuous use. It is characterized by sufficient capacity of the flask for the medicine and low noise level.
Detailed characteristics of the devices are described in the table:
The advantages of the Omron nebulizer include:
- 1. Compact and light. The weight and size of the inhaler are quite small, which is why it does not take up much space at home and can be easily stored in a desk drawer after use. Thanks to the special bag included with the device, you can take the device with you on a trip along with all the necessary attachments and solutions.
- 2. The presence of a mouthpiece. The mouthpiece for the Omron NE-C24 nebulizer ensures that the mask fits tightly to the patient's face. This leads to precise entry of evaporated substances into the respiratory system, which reduces the level of loss of medications during the procedure.
- 3. Ease of use. The absence of small parts in the device ensures its safe use by children. In addition, the process of washing and processing the device after inhalation is simplified.
- 4. Possibility of use in children. The almost complete absence of noise during operation of the device and the ability to attach multi-colored toys to the nozzles and compressor reduces children’s fear of the procedure. Depending on the age of the child, the appropriate attachment is selected to ensure tight contact with the facial skin.
- 5. Wide range of drugs. A compressor inhaler allows you to use a variety of medications for the treatment procedure - from mineral and salt waters to antibiotics.
The disadvantages of the device are:
- quite high cost;
- impossibility of inhalation with oil solutions;
- the need to use masks.
Inhalation procedures are widely used to treat diseases of the respiratory system. They can be used to treat the following diseases:
- bronchial asthma;
- acute respiratory diseases;
- Chronical bronchitis;
- chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD);
- tuberculosis;
- pneumonia.
To start working with the device, you need to install the compressor on a flat surface not far from the bed or chair on which the patient is located. It is allowed to add liquid solutions of medications to the device.
Many cough and phlegm syrups and mixtures have a viscous consistency that cannot be aerated by a nebulizer. Using such medications unchanged will lead to clogging and damage to the inhaler. To avoid such situations, it is recommended to mix the drug with saline solution (0.9% NaCl solution). The required dose of medication is first poured into the device’s container, and the remaining volume of the flask is filled with sterile liquid. The contents are carefully mixed until a homogeneous consistency is achieved.
The air tube is attached at one end to the compressor, and at the other to the bowl with the medicinal substance. After this, put a mask on the container and attach toys, if necessary. The device is plugged into a power outlet, a mask is brought to the patient’s face, which is pressed tightly and secured with elastic ties. Only after making sure that the actions performed are correct, do you start using the nebulizer. The procedure takes a minimum of 10 minutes, but no more than 20 minutes.
After the procedure, the inhaler is disconnected from the network, the air tube and the reservoir with liquid are disconnected from each other and from the compressor. All attached toys are also removed from the device. The tube, mask and container should be thoroughly washed with warm water and soapy water, dried and stored in a dark place. Once a month, it is advisable to treat all parts removed from the compressor using disinfectant solutions (chlorhexidine, hydrogen peroxide).
The inhaler is supplied with instructions for use with a detailed description of the operating rules and how to use the device.
And a little about secrets.
The story of one of our readers, Irina Volodina:
I was especially distressed by my eyes, which were surrounded by large wrinkles, plus dark circles and puffiness. How to completely remove wrinkles and bags under the eyes? How to deal with swelling and redness? But nothing ages or rejuvenates a person more than his eyes.
But how to rejuvenate them? Plastic surgery? I found out - no less than 5 thousand dollars. Hardware procedures - photorejuvenation, gas-liquid peeling, radio lifting, laser facelift? A little more affordable - the course costs 1.5-2 thousand dollars. And when will you find time for all this? And it's still expensive. Especially now. Therefore, I chose a different method for myself.

Nebulizer instructions for use - Nebulizer buy in St. Petersburg, prices for nebulizers
Using a nebulizer at home is quite simple and does not require special knowledge. Below are a few recommendations that will make working with a nebulizer easier and more effective.
Before using the nebulizer, you should wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water, as the skin can carry pathogens.
Assemble the nebulizer according to the instructions. Pour the required amount of the drug into the nebulizer flask, preheating it to room temperature.
Close the device and attach the mask, mouthpiece or nosepiece.
Connect the nebulizer and compressor using a special hose.
Turn on the compressor and inhale deeply evenly for 7-10 minutes or until the treatment solution is completely used up.
Turn off the compressor, disconnect the nebulizer chamber and disassemble it.
Wash all parts of your nebulizer with hot water or 15% soda solution. You should not use brushes or brushes to clean the appliance.
If necessary, sterilize the nebulizer in disassembled form using any instrument for steam sterilization, for example, a thermal disinfector (steam sterilizer) for baby bottles. Alternatively, you can sterilize the nebulizer by boiling it for at least 10 minutes. Disinfection should be carried out once a week.
Clean and dry the nebulizer thoroughly. The device should be stored in a clean cloth or towel.
Inhalations are carried out at least an hour after eating or exercising.
During inhalation therapy, doctors prohibit smoking. In special cases, before and after inhalation, it is recommended not to smoke for an hour.
Inhalation should be done calmly and evenly, without being distracted by reading or talking.
Clothing should not interfere with your neck or make it difficult for you to breathe.
For diseases of the nasal passages, inhalation and exhalation during inhalation must be done through the nose (nasal inhalation), breathing easily, without strain.
For diseases of the larynx, bronchi, lungs, trachea, it is recommended to inhale the aerosol through the mouth (oral inhalation), breathe deeply and evenly. After deep breathing through the mouth, you should hold your breath for two seconds, and then take a full breath through the nose, while spraying the drug into the pharynx, larynx and deeper parts of the respiratory tract.
Frequent deep breathing during inhalation can cause dizziness, then you need to interrupt the procedure to rest for a short time.
Before each procedure, you should not take expectorants or rinse your mouth with an antiseptic solution (potassium permanganate, hydrogen permanganate, boric acid).
After each inhalation, and especially after inhaling steroids, you should rinse your mouth with boiled water at a comfortable temperature (a small child can be given food and drink); if using a breathing mask, rinse your eyes and face with water.
The duration of inhalation should not be more than 7-10 minutes. The course of inhalation treatment is from 8.6 to 15 procedures.
Basic requirements for an inhaler-nebulizer:
The optimal particle size of the aerosol is less than 5 microns, the inhalable fraction of the aerosol is at least 50%;
The residual amount of the drug after inhalation is 50%;
Inhalation for 15 minutes;
Recommended air flow 6-10 l per minute;
Nebulizers must be tested and certified in accordance with European standards for inhalation therapy EN.
The patient must assume a sitting position with the device in an upright position.
The inhalation procedure should be carried out 1.5 hours after meals. For an hour after the procedure, you should not eat or smoke, and try to speak less.
If the bronchi, trachea or lungs are treated, air passes through the mouth, but using a mouthpiece.
Only sterile saline solution drawn through sterile syringes can be used as a drug solvent.
The nebulizer container is filled with ml, while the air should remain \min. In some devices, this figure is set by default.
During the nebulizer inhalation procedure, air is drawn through the mouth, slowly and deeply as possible. After inhaling, you should hold your breath for a second. But if the patient is seriously ill, you can do without it.
The duration of the nebulizer inhalation procedure is from 5 to 10 minutes; the last minutes of the procedure may seem more difficult.
If hormonal drugs or antibiotics were administered during inhalation, you should rinse your mouth with clean water after the procedure.
After the inhalation procedure, the nebulizer should be rinsed with water (preferably sterile) and thoroughly dried.
The duration of treatment is from 5 to 10 sessions.
To reduce drug losses (drug deposition on the walls of the nebulizer chamber), 1 ml of saline solution can be added to the chamber at the end of the inhalation procedure;
When using affordable medications, you can use all types of nebulizers, but with more expensive drugs, nebulizers activated by the patient's breath are most effective.
Not recommended for nebulizers:
The prepared solution must be stored in the refrigerator for several days. Before use, you can heat the solution in water to a temperature of at least 20 degrees C.

How to use a nebulizer?
Nebulizers are medical devices that allow you to convert liquid medications into an aerosol, that is, into a mixture of air and fine particles of a substance. With their help, inhalations are carried out, necessary for the treatment of a number of diseases. Various models can be used to treat both adult and pediatric patients; some models (mash inhalers) are suitable even for infants.
Currently, three types of inhalers are produced:
The most inexpensive, and therefore accessible, are compressor models. They make it possible to spray any liquid preparations. Ultrasonic models are significantly more expensive. In addition, high-frequency sound negatively affects the structure of the active substances of antibiotics, mucolytics and hormonal agents. The most universal are electronic mesh models (mesh nebulizers), but not everyone can afford them.
How does a nebulizer work?
Each type of nebulizer has its own design and operating principle.
But any model includes several basic components:
- main block that forms a stream of air;
- mouthpiece or face mask (sometimes the kit includes sprayers, a mouthpiece, and nasal attachments);
- connecting tubes;
- container for medicine.
When the nebulizer is started, air combines with the medicine and a therapeutic aerosol cloud is formed.
In compressor models, air under pressure is supplied to the chamber, where it is mixed with a liquid drug coming from a special tank. As a result, an aerosol is formed, which enters the breathing mask through the tube.
In ultrasonic devices, liquid is dispersed under the action of high-frequency sound vibrations generated by a piezocrystal.
The most innovative devices have a special system of inhalation-exhalation valves, which makes it possible to use the drug as carefully as possible.
Some models are equipped with interrupters, which also makes it possible to save medicine.
How to use a nebulizer: instructions for use
Working with a medical device requires compliance with basic rules of hygiene and asepsis. Before preparing the inhaler for use, wash your hands thoroughly.
The nebulizer must be assembled following the attached instructions:
- Check the reliability of the tube connections and the cleanliness of the filter.
- Measure out the volume of medication required for the procedure (the dosage is determined by the attending physician). It is advisable to purchase products in disposable nebula capsules. If it is necessary to dilute the drug, only saline solution (NaCl 0.9%) can be used. The medicine must be taken from the factory container with a sterile syringe and poured into a special cup of the inhaler.
- The container with the ready-to-use drug is connected to the system via an adapter tube.
- To carry out the procedure, you need to put a mask on your face or hold a special mouthpiece with your lips (the second option allows you to avoid losing part of the solution as a result of spraying into the surrounding air).
- Now you can turn on the device and start inhaling the aerosol. After the drug is finished, steam will stop coming out of the glass. Most devices will beep when there is no medicine in the reservoir.
Important: If you are using a device equipped with a breaker, then to carry out inhalation in continuous mode you need to lock the key by turning it clockwise.
After completing the procedure, the container for the medicine, as well as the mask (or mouthpiece) and adapter tubes should be rinsed with boiled water and dried thoroughly before putting the device into the box.
If hormonal drugs were used for inhalation, you need to rinse your mouth thoroughly.
Please note: It is recommended to carry out inhalation no earlier than an hour and a half after eating, since certain solutions (especially alkaline ones) can provoke a gag reflex.
It is not advisable to eat immediately after the procedure. During the course of treatment you should refrain from smoking.
If discomfort occurs after inhalation, you should temporarily interrupt treatment and consult a doctor.
Rules for preparing medications when using a nebulizer
The list of types of medications used for inhalation using a nebulizer is presented in the table:
For inhalation with a nebulizer, special pharmaceutical drugs should be used. In modern models (steam models don’t count), herbal infusions and decoctions should also not be used. Under no circumstances should you attempt to prepare an inhalation solution from crushed tablets.
Products containing essential oils, when inhaled through an inhaler mask, can provoke an attack in patients with bronchial asthma! In addition, such drugs often lead to device failure; in particular, the membrane of mesh inhalers cannot be washed at all after such a procedure.
When preparing medications, make sure that:
- there was at least 5 ml in the nebulizer chamber. liquids;
- if dilution of drugs was necessary, only sterile saline solution was used;
- the product used was warmed to room temperature;
- for treatment with expensive drugs, devices with a flow interrupter valve were used that do not supply an aerosol during exhalation, which helps to avoid drug losses;
- After the end of the aerosol supply, the chamber was rinsed with 1 ml. saline solution, shaking it and finishing the procedure until the aerosol discharge completely stops. This simple event contributes to a more efficient use of inhalation products.
Measures to organize proper breathing when using a nebulizer
When starting inhalations, remember a few basic rules:
- Holding the mouthpiece (face mask) of the nebulizer so that it fits snugly against your mouth (face) will help you minimize potential loss of medication.
- During the procedure, breathe through your mouth (if nasal nozzles are not used) calmly, slowly, deeply.
- Sit straight, motionless, silent.
- Try to hold your breath for a few seconds before each exhalation. If you can’t do this, just breathe at a normal rhythm.
Nebulizer for children
Many children are characterized by a fear of medical manipulations, even if they are not associated with unpleasant sensations. In order to turn inhalation into a fun game, manufacturers of special children's nebulizers make bodies in the form of toys or complete models with attachments in the form of funny animals. It is necessary for the child to be calm and not cry, since in this case his breathing will be shallow and the aerosol will not penetrate the lower parts of the respiratory system.
Using electronic mesh devices, it is possible to perform inhalations even on infants, since devices of this type (unlike compressor devices) can operate at any tilt of the chamber.
If a child turns pale, loses consciousness, complains of chest pain, or develops suffocation, you should immediately call an ambulance. The listed symptoms may indicate an allergic reaction to the drug.
Nebulizer care rules
Regardless of the principle of operation of the nebulizer, all these devices require careful treatment, timely cleaning and disinfection. Otherwise, your nebulizer may turn into a source of infection and, when used, do not benefit, but cause harm.
To prevent this from happening, follow the basic instructions for cleaning the device:
- At the end of the procedures, turn off and disassemble the device.
- Thoroughly rinse the flask, mask or mouthpiece in warm soapy water or in a 15% solution of baking soda without using brushes or brushes. Rinse with clean water and let dry.
- If one person uses the nebulizer, then once a week it is necessary to sterilize the dismountable parts. For which disinfectants supplied by the supplier, a baby bottle sterilizer or normal boiling for 10 minutes can be used. If the nebulizer is used by several people, disinfection is carried out after each use.
- Check the compressor filter according to the manufacturer's instructions, clean and replace it promptly.
- Do not operate the nebulizer on the floor or store it there.
- Wipe the body and cover with a clean cloth before each use.
- Store the dried nebulizer parts in a box, after wrapping them in a clean towel or napkin.
All modern inhalers are extremely easy to use, convenient and reliable. If you follow the basic rules for operating the device, you will not have any difficulties, and the nebulizer will serve faithfully for many years.

Nebulizer - instructions for use, rules for inhalation
A nebulizer is a portable device for inhalation, the principle of which is based on the transformation of drug particles into cold vapor, so that the drug easily enters the respiratory tract. The device is indispensable for frequently ill children; it can be used from the very birth of the child. Each inhaler comes with instructions for use, which must be studied. What are the basic principles of a nebulizer? How to use it correctly?
Recommendations for working with the device
There are 3 types of inhalers: compressor, ultrasonic and membrane (each type of nebulizer has its own instructions, which contain a detailed description of the device). A compressor nebulizer is the most affordable, and it also allows you to nebulize any medicine in liquid form. It is quite easy to work with any device at home without special skills, but you must follow certain rules that are indicated in the instructions. The following recommendations will help you use your compressor inhaler easily, safely and effectively.
- Before you start working with the nebulizer, it is important to wash your hands well with soap to prevent pathogenic bacteria from getting on the device.
- Assemble the inhaler parts as indicated in the instructions.
- Warm the required volume of liquid medicine to room temperature. Pour it into the special chamber of the nebulizer.
- Wear a mask or nose piece, or place a mouthpiece in your mouth.
- Next, proceed to using the device. Launch it. Inhale the generated steam evenly for about 7 minutes (until the chamber with the nebulizer runs out of the treatment solution).
- Upon completion of the procedure, turn off and then disassemble the inhaler.
- After each use, rinse all parts of the device (mask or mouthpiece, capsule, sprayer) with warm water (without a brush) to remove any remaining medication. When the parts are dry, reassemble the nebulizer.
- After 3-4 uses of the device, its parts should be disinfected. To do this, use the products recommended in the instructions for the inhaler, or prepare them yourself, for example, from soda or hydrogen peroxide.
- Store the clean, assembled inhaler wrapped in a fresh towel.
- Before each new procedure, wipe the body and parts of the device with a dry cloth.
Rules for the procedure
Before doing inhalations, it is important to make sure that there are no contraindications to this procedure. You should not use the inhaler if you have heart failure, elevated body temperature, recent stroke or heart attack, pulmonary hemorrhages, or allergies to medications used. If the procedure is performed on a child, the child must be calm. When crying, his breathing will be shallow, and the drug will not enter the lower respiratory organs. To prevent the treatment process from frightening your child, you can purchase for him an inhaler with a body in the shape of a funny train or a funny animal. Usually, after 2-3 procedures, children get used to the nebulizer and feel comfortable.
Attention! If during the procedure the baby turns pale, loses consciousness, begins to choke, or complains of pain in the chest, you must immediately turn off the inhaler and call an ambulance. These signs may be symptoms of an allergy to the drug.
Use the nebulizer for children or adults in accordance with the following instructions.
- Inhalation should be carried out an hour after meals and exercise.
- Before using the device, you should not take expectorant medications or gargle with antiseptics.
- It is not recommended to smoke 2 hours before and 2 hours after the procedure.
- During the inhalation process, you need to sit upright without moving. Clothing should not squeeze the neck and make breathing difficult.
- The mouthpiece or mask should be held as close to the face as possible so that the maximum amount of medication enters the body.
- If the procedure is performed without using a nosepiece, you need to breathe only through your mouth. Before each exhalation, it is advisable to hold your breath for 2-3 seconds. This will be difficult for children to do; they can simply inhale the steam as usual.
- After using the nebulizer, you should rinse your mouth with warm boiled water and wash your face. A small child can be given something to drink.
- Inhalation should not last longer than 10 minutes. Treatment should be carried out in a course of 8 to 15 procedures (as recommended by a doctor).
How to use medications correctly?
Drugs for inhalation can only be prescribed by a doctor. When making medicinal compositions for a compressor nebulizer, you must adhere to the following instructions:
- solutions for nebulizers are prepared strictly under sterile conditions;
- the chamber of the device must contain at least 5 ml of liquid (if the medicine is not enough, it is necessary to supplement the volume with saline solution);
- It should be remembered that in any nebulizer there is always about 0.5 ml of liquid left that is not sprayed, so the medicine should be added taking into account this volume;
- if the drug was stored in the refrigerator, before the procedure you need to warm it to room temperature in a water bath.
Under no circumstances should essential oils be added to inhalers: they clog the cells of the bronchi and can cause an attack of suffocation in bronchial asthma. In addition, the use of such means often leads to damage to the device. There is no need to pour herbal decoctions into nebulizers: they can also settle in the lungs and bronchi. For the same reasons, you should not prepare medicine for inhalation from crushed tablets. It is also prohibited to use products in syrups: in addition to the necessary drug, sugar and additional unnecessary substances will enter the respiratory tract.
Attention! Before using the inhaler, you should consult a specialist. It is strictly forbidden to independently prescribe inhalations with antibiotics and hormonal agents to yourself and your child.
Understanding the use of modern nebulizers is very simple: just study the instructions for this device. If you follow all these recommendations, the procedure will be easy, safe and effective, and the inhaler will serve you for many years.

AND, inhaler: description, instructions for use, reviews
AND is an inhaler, which is an ultrasonic, practical and compact nebulizer. The silent device is used for internal water-based inhalations. The target area is the prevention and treatment of colds, occupational, viral, chronic illnesses, including bronchial asthma. The size of the sprayed suspension is only five microns, which allows it to effectively act on the lower and upper respiratory tract. The device is suitable not only for adults, but also for children. Let's consider the features of its use and recommendations for the treatment of various diseases.
How does the AND compressor inhaler work?
The device is based on ultrasonic waves that transform liquid medical drugs into an aerosol. The microscopic composition easily reaches the most remote places of damage to the respiratory system.
The second name for an inhaler is a nebulizer. This name comes from the Latin word "nebula", which translates as "cloudiness" or "fog". AND is an inhaler that is used in various fields of medicine, including pulmonology and allergology.
The device effectively affects the bronchi, even when they are narrowed. The patient does not need to concentrate on adjusting inhalation and exhalation when taking the drug. The maximum effect is achieved due to the local accumulation of the drug in the right place, taking into account the fact that the intake is carried out in small doses.
AND inhaler: instructions for use
The device's operating manual provides an opportunity to learn the features and rules of its use. The procedure is as follows:
- The device connects to the network.
- The reservoir is filled with the necessary medicinal suspension.
- The power key is activated.
- A mask is put on and the procedure is carried out in the quantity and duration recommended by the attending physician.
The AND CN-231 inhaler does not require special maintenance. An automatic timer regulates the operation of the device, and it is possible to personalize it for a specific patient. Inhalations are carried out on a water basis. Medicines are used in the following configuration:
- Anti-inflammatory aerosols.
- Special compositions for inhalation.
- Chemical pharmacological infusions.
- Natural mineral water is best suited as a base.
The kit is equipped with special masks to provide procedures for a lying or sleeping patient. The device can operate not only from the mains, but also from batteries, which is important when traveling remotely.

Compact dimensions allow you to carry the device in your pocket or bag, and its design features allow you to carry out procedures not only at home, but also on tourist trips or out-of-town trips.
The device is equipped with autonomous rechargeable batteries, which make it possible to use the nebulizer if there is no access to a stationary power supply. A special spraying method helps to obtain an optimal effect with a minimum dosage. Surgical and local impact on the affected areas significantly shortens the patient’s recovery period. Another plus is the minimal picture of side effects.
Minuses
Like any household appliance or medical product, the AND brand products we are considering (inhaler) have certain disadvantages and contraindications. Consumers consider the following factors to be disadvantages:
- it is necessary to control the required dose of the drug;
- it must be taken into account that some medications lose part of their medicinal properties;
- Do not use antibiotics or hormonal drugs;
- It is also prohibited to use oils as a base;

Criterias of choice
Before purchasing an AND compressor inhaler, you should decide on the necessary parameters. Firstly, it is necessary to study its capabilities, including independent use. Secondly, you need to pay attention to the potential of the device, taking into account the range and spray flow. This will allow you to decide on a model depending on the diagnosis. In addition, be sure to study all contraindications and recommendations of specialists.
Users also pay attention to this point: choosing a nebulizer based on the “best among competitors” principle will not work! To apply it correctly and obtain the expected effect, it is necessary to take into account a lot of nuances and possibilities. It is advisable to consult your physician before using the device. After all, this is a matter of your health or the well-being of a loved one.
Users' opinions
AND is an inhaler that has earned the trust of many consumers. It can be used when connected to a fixed network, car electrics, or autonomously by inserting batteries, which is very convenient. Users are satisfied with the compact size of the nebulizer, the ability to easily transport or carry it, as well as the complete set that allows treating children of different ages and adult patients.
The noiselessness of the unit allows it to be used for treating children, and the variety of colors and shapes additionally encourages the baby to perceive the device not only as medicine, but also as a kind of toy.
The AND inhaler, reviews of which are mostly positive, occupies a worthy place among its analogues. It does not require special maintenance, can be used to treat various diseases, and is easy to transport and operate. A detailed manual will allow you to select the required mode, and will also help you understand the principle of operation of the device and its capabilities. In any case, the nebulizer in question is an excellent alternative to injections and tablets, of course, if they can be replaced.

How to use a nebulizer correctly
Today, consumers are offered three main types of nebulizer: compressor, ultrasonic, and electronic mesh. The devices differ in the principle of converting liquid into an aerosol cloud. Before using a nebulizer, you must carefully study the rules for its use and storage.
Features of use
Recommendations for the use of nebulizers:
- Before inhalation, you must wash your hands thoroughly with soap;
- The next step is to assemble the device. All tubes should be connected, the air filter should be checked;
- Then you need to prepare a solution for inhalation. For inhalation administration, it is advisable to use drugs in special plastic containers (nebulas). If the medicine needs to be diluted, it is better to use saline solution for this purpose. A set of medicine from an ampoule is made with a sterile syringe, after which it is diluted with a 0.9% sodium chloride solution to a volume of 4 ml. The resulting mixture is poured into a glass;
- The reservoir with the contents must be connected to the inhaler tube. Attach a facial aerosol mask or mouthpiece to the top;
- Once the device is turned on, you can perform the inhalation procedure. When performing inhalation, the cup must be kept exclusively in a vertical position so as not to spill the inhaled liquid. The duration of the procedure should be at least 10 minutes. A sign that it is time to finish inhalation will be the cessation of the supply of medicinal steam;
- After finishing inhalation, you should rinse all components of the inhaler with boiled water, then dry them. If inhalation using antibacterial agents was carried out, it is recommended to rinse the mouth with boiled water;
- It is advisable to perform inhalation procedures 1.5 hours after finishing a meal;
- It is recommended to use only medications intended for this purpose for inhalation. It is better to consult your doctor first;
- Upon completion of inhalation with an inhaler-nebulizer, you should temporarily refrain from smoking, eating and going outside;
- If dizziness occurs during inhalation, it is recommended to stop the procedure for a while. A little later, resume inhalation. If dizziness does not go away, you should tell your doctor.
For children
Quite often, children experience fear before using a nebulizer. Especially if the procedure is carried out with a compressor inhaler. Such devices, as a rule, have an increased noise level during operation, which is very frightening for children.
To avoid such troubles, nebulizers were developed specifically for children, made in the form of a fun toy. Carrying out inhalation with such an inhaler allows you to turn the treatment procedure into a fun game.
It is advisable to do inhalations when the child is in a good mood; if he struggles or cries, breathing will be shallow, which means that the medicinal substances will not be fully delivered. You need to try to lure the child or come to an agreement, you can turn on a cartoon.
It is important to ensure that during the inhalation process the face mask fits tightly to the baby’s face, otherwise the medicinal substances will miss the target.
You should seek medical help if:
- the child’s arms and legs tremble after inhalation;
- increased heart rate, dizziness;
- development of stomatitis is observed;
- long-term inhalation therapy does not bring results;
- If you have any questions regarding your child's illness or treatment, you should consult your pediatrician.
You should call an ambulance immediately if:
- the child began to choke;
- there was a sharp pain in the chest area;
- Coordination of movements is impaired, severe dizziness and drowsiness are observed.
Recommendations for caring for the device
The nebulizer requires special care, since medications are constantly poured into it, more than one person uses the inhaler, and treatment is usually carried out for infectious diseases.
Pathogenic bacteria can settle on the mask, so it is necessary to properly clean the device. And although the types of nebulizers are different, the rules for caring for them are no different.
Cleaning instructions
Instructions for cleaning the inhaler:
- After each procedure, it is necessary to soak all removable parts (tube, mask, camera) in a weak soap solution for 10 minutes. Then thoroughly rinse all components of the device under running water and dry. It is not recommended to clean compressors and pipes yourself;
- After every third use, the device should be disinfected. To do this, you can use an aqueous solution of vinegar or a special broad-spectrum disinfectant. To prepare a vinegar solution you will need: 0.5 cups of acetic acid and 1.5 cups of water. Mix the ingredients thoroughly. Soak the removable parts of the nebulizer in the resulting solution for 20 minutes, then rinse with running water. Allow all parts to dry;
- Before each use, it is recommended to wipe the compressor cover with a clean cloth;
- It is not advisable to place and store the compressor on the floor;
- It’s good to have spare flasks, masks or mouthpieces so that if they break, you can replace them without wasting time;
- It is important to remember to check the air filter and follow the instructions to replace or clean it.
Only parts made of polypropylene can be boiled and disinfected. Be sure to read in the attached instructions what material the inhaler parts are made of. Since most often they are made of polyvinyl chloride, which is prohibited from being exposed to high temperatures. In order for the nebulizer to last as long as possible, you should provide it with proper care and use it correctly.

How to use a nebulizer
Because the necessary links tend not to open, so I will copy here what concerns us specifically:
- Before handling the inhaler, you should (always) wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water, as... there may be pathogenic microbes on the skin.
- Pre-warm the medicinal substance to room temperature.
- Turn on the compressor and inhale for 7-10 minutes or until the solution is completely consumed.
- Wash all parts of the nebulizer with hot water or 15% baking soda solution. Brushes and squeegees should not be used. (The instructions for our nebulizer say that before inhalation it is necessary to rinse with a 3% solution of hydrogen peroxide and a 0.5% solution of detergent (for example, washing powder) and wipe dry with a soft cloth).
- Disinfection must be carried out once a week by sterilizing the disassembled nebulizer in some device for sterilization using steam, for example, a thermal disinfector (steam sterilizer) designed for processing baby bottles. Sterilization by boiling for at least 10 minutes is also possible.
- The thoroughly cleaned and dried nebulizer should be stored in a clean napkin or towel.
- Inhalations are carried out no earlier than 1-1.5 hours after eating or significant physical activity.
- After inhalation, do not eat or drink for 30 minutes so that the medicine has time to be completely absorbed. (That's what we were told in the treatment room)
- During the course of inhalation treatment, doctors prohibit smoking. In exceptional cases, before and after inhalation, it is recommended to stop smoking for an hour.
- For diseases of the nasal tract, inhalation and exhalation must be done through the nose (nasal inhalation), breathing calmly, without tension.
- For diseases of the larynx, trachea, bronchi, and lungs, it is recommended to inhale the aerosol through the mouth (oral inhalation), breathing deeply and evenly. After taking a deep breath through your mouth, you should hold your breath for 2 seconds, and then exhale completely through your nose; in this case, the aerosol from the oral cavity enters further into the pharynx, larynx and further into the deeper parts of the respiratory tract.
- Before the procedure, you do not need to take expectorants or rinse your mouth with antiseptic solutions (potassium permanganate, hydrogen peroxide, boric acid).
- After any inhalation, and especially after inhalation of a hormonal drug, it is necessary to rinse your mouth with boiled water at room temperature (a small child can be given drink and food); if using a mask, rinse your eyes and face with water.
- The duration of one inhalation should not exceed 7-10 minutes.
- Course of treatment with aerosol inhalations - from 6-8 to 15 procedures
- Inhalations with a nebulizer can also be done at high temperatures, because... they are “cold”, in contrast to “hot” steam at a temperature that is contraindicated. (3)
- It is recommended to fill the nebulizer cup to a volume of 2-5 ml. (i.e., the liquid must reach at least the bottom of the nebulizer cup - for us it is 2 ml. If the volume is not enough, then saline solution must be added to the drug).
- Each nebulizer has a residual volume (ours is 0.5 ml) - this is the liquid that will not be sprayed in any case and will remain in the cup. Therefore, the dose of the medicine prescribed by the doctor must be increased, taking into account this volume.
- Solutions for inhalation must be prepared under sterile conditions using 0.9% sodium chloride as a solvent;
- You should not use tap water (even boiled water);
- The container in which the solution is prepared is pre-disinfected by boiling;
- The prepared solution should be stored in the refrigerator for no more than a day;
- Before use, be sure to heat it in a water bath to a temperature of at least 20 degrees. WITH.
- All solutions containing oils (drops of oil settle in the bronchi, clogging them);
- Suspensions and solutions containing suspended particles, including self-prepared decoctions and infusions of herbs (poorly filtered herbal particles will enter the lungs and bronchi);
- Eufillin, papaverine, platyphylline, diphenhydramine and similar drugs, as having no substrate effect on the mucous membrane. This is mentioned in many instructions and descriptions of drugs for nebulizer therapy. Including in the instructions, links to which are at the beginning of the post (1) and (2): “It should be emphasized that drugs that are not intended for nebulizer therapy cannot be used for inhalation, for example, Eufillin solution, which has no effect when applied topically, and in some patients it can cause bronchospasm.”
And this is not the first time that our pediatrician has prescribed aminophylline inhalations - how can we figure this out?
Medical solutions used in nebulizers are perfectly described here: “BaSko Medical” - medical equipment.
Another good list of drugs and dosages for the nebulizer can be found HERE: https://www.babyblog.ru/user/SweetyKitty/
Solution for inhalation in 100 ml bottles. It is an inhalation analogue of Bromhexine. By acting directly on the goblet cells of the bronchial mucosa, it increases their secretion of the liquid component of sputum, resulting in a decrease in the viscosity of sputum, facilitating its coughing and removal by the cilia of epithelial cells. The drug is indicated for any processes in the bronchi when there is viscous, difficult to separate sputum - pneumonia, bronchitis, bronchial asthma, cystic fibrosis. In the first stage of ARVI - when inflammation of the mucous membranes is not yet accompanied by secretion with a feeling of dryness, burning in the trachea and bronchi, dry cough - the use of Lazolvan helps to quickly overcome these symptoms. Dose for inhalation: 2-3 ml of Lazolvan solution 2-4 times a day.
Good remedies for any colds and mild forms of bronchitis and asthma. They moisturize the mucous membrane along its entire length from the oropharynx to the small bronchi, softening catarrhal symptoms, and increase the liquid part of the bronchial secretion. Take 3 ml of solution for inhalation (mineral water must be left to degas). Apply 3-4 times a day.
The main indication for use is viscous sputum in the bronchi with the inability to cough effectively. Has a mild disinfectant effect. Can be used when there is a small amount of secretion to obtain sputum for analysis, the so-called “induced sputum”. It should be used with caution in patients with bronchial asthma, since bronchospasm is often provoked (we are not allowed to do this, but doctors prescribed it). For inhalation, 4-5 ml of solution is used 1-2 times a day.
In the form of a ready-made solution under the trade name Berotek (Boehringer Ingelheim, Austria) in 20 ml bottles at a dose of 1 mg/ml.
Indications for the use of Berotek are: bronchial asthma and chronic obstructive bronchitis, especially in the acute stage, as well as acute bronchitis accompanied by bronchospasm. Dose per inhalation 1-2 mg Berotek (1-2 ml), peak effect - 30 minutes, duration of action is an hour. The number of inhalations per day depends on the severity of bronchospasm. During the period of exacerbation, as a rule, the patient inhales the medicine 3-4 times a day, during the period of remission, once a day or as needed. For severe attacks of asthma, frequent inhalations of Berotek are recommended - every 20 minutes in the first hour, then at intervals of 1 hour until the condition improves, and then every 4 hours.
In terms of bronchodilating effect, Berotec is approximately 4 times superior to Salbutamol. The advantage of a nebulized b-2 agonist over a conventional one dosed in aerosol cans is that the first creates significantly higher concentrations in the small bronchi, while the main dose of the second settles in the oral cavity and, being absorbed into the blood, causes palpitations and interruptions in work heart rate, hand tremors and increases blood pressure.
In addition, for the balloon inhaler to work effectively, it is necessary to hold your breath after inhalation for 10 seconds, which is almost impossible during an attack. When using a nebulizer, this is no longer necessary due to the creation of a continuous flow of aerosol with an inhalation duration of 5-7 minutes.
This property of nebulizers is especially important in the treatment of childhood asthma, when it is impossible to force a child to correctly perform the technique of inhaling a metered aerosol.
For children, compressor nebulizers come with masks.
In the form of a ready-made solution under the trade names Steri-Neb Salamol or Gen-salbutamol in ampoules of 2.5 ml.
Indications for the use of liquid Salbutamol are the same as for Berotec. The dose for 1 inhalation is usually 2.5 mg of Salbutamol (1 ampoule), but can vary: from 1/2 ampoule in mild cases to 2 ampoules (5 mg) for severe attacks of shortness of breath (peak action 30-60 minutes, duration of action hours) . The number of inhalations per day depends on the severity of the symptoms of the disease.
During the period of exacerbation, as a rule, the patient inhales the medicine 3-4 times a day, during the period of remission, once a day or as needed. For severe exacerbations of bronchial asthma, frequent inhalations of Salbutamol are recommended - every 20 minutes in the first hour (up to constant nebulization), then at intervals of 1 hour until the attack ends against the background of basic treatment of the underlying disease.
Fenoterol combined with ipratropium bromide - trade name Berodual (Boehringer Ingelheim, Austria). Available in 20 ml bottles, 1 ml of solution contains 250 mcg of ipratropium bromide and 500 mcg of fenoterol.
Many studies have proven the advantage of combination therapy compared to monotherapy with sympathomimetics, especially in individuals with very severe bronchial obstruction, suffering from chronic obstructive bronchitis in combination with bronchial asthma. For inhalation, take 2-4 ml of Berodual solution, to which 1-1.5 ml of 0.9% sodium chloride solution is added.
The frequency of use is the same as for Salbutamol.
Ready-made solution for inhalation, trade name - Atrovent (Boehringer Ingelheim, Austria), in 20 ml bottles, 1 ml of solution contains 250 mcg of ipratropium bromide. Single dose via nebulizer 0 mcg, peak action min.
The bronchodilator effect lasts up to 5-6 hours. The main indication for prescribing Atrovent is chronic obstructive bronchitis. In terms of bronchodilator effect, it is somewhat inferior to Berotek and Salbutamol, but the main advantage of Atro-Vent therapy is the safety of use. Prescription of Atrovent does not lead to hypoxemia, hypokalemia, there are practically no side effects from the cardiovascular system, which is especially important in patients suffering from COPD in combination with heart and vascular diseases.
It is inferior in bronchodilator effect to the above-mentioned drugs, but is more accessible and cheaper. Indications for use are the same as for Salbutamol.
To prepare a solution for inhalation, take 1 ml of a 25% magnesium sulfate solution and add 2 ml of saline to it.
Has moderate disinfectant properties. The most appropriate inhalations are for prophylactic purposes in patients with ARVI, in order to prevent the spread of infection deep into the bronchial tree. It is preferable to use a ready-made 0.02% solution, 4 ml per inhalation 2 times a day. You can prepare the solution yourself. To do this, 1 tablet of Furacillin is dissolved in 100 ml of a sterile solution of 0.9% NaCl.
Obstructive bronchitis, bronchiolitis
Laferon, laferobion (see above).
Ventolin (in a nebula 2.5 mg in 2.5 ml) every 20 minutes for an hour (3 times).
Flixotide (see stenotic laryngotracheobronchitis).
Fluimucil (in ampoules 300 mg acetylcysteine in 3 ml, 10% solution, 1/2 - 1 ampoule 1-2 times a day).
Ambrobene (inhalation solution 7.5 mg/ml):
up to 2 years - 7.5 (1 ml) 2 times a day;
(Euffilin 1 ml + saline solution 1 ml) and after 20 minutes (Mukolvan 1 ml + saline solution 1 ml.) x 2 times a day.
(Euffilin 1 ml + saline solution 1 ml) and after 20 minutes (lazolvan 2 ml + saline solution 2 ml.) x 2 times a day.
Eufillin is sometimes replaced in Borjomi prescriptions.
2. For severe bronchitis with obstruction (Katya is 6 years old)
(Ventolin 1 ml + saline solution 1 ml) and after 20 minutes (Berodual 1 ml + saline solution 1 ml) x 3 times a day.
3. Bronchitis (Kate is 7 years old)
(Ventolin 1.5 ml + saline 1.5 ml) after 10 minutes (3-4 ml Borjomi) x 2-3 times a day
4. Bronchitis with obstruction (Katya is 7 years old)
(ventolin 0.7 ml + saline 2.0 ml) after 10 minutes (pulmicort 0.7 ml + saline 2.0 ml) x 3 times a day
5. Bronchitis with obstruction (Katya is 9 years old)
(ventolin 1 ml + saline 2 ml) after 15 minutes (pulmicort 1 ml + saline 2 ml) x 3 times a day

We were just recently advised to buy a nebulizer. Thank you very much for the recommendations. Just relevant for us.
Glad it's useful :)
Right on target post, thank you!
Just the day before yesterday I was discharged from the hospital with my second obstructive bronchitis. I found many inconsistencies in use, thanks for the detailed information! The child was breathing berodual.
What can I do/harden myself so that this horror doesn’t happen again.
If only I knew 🙁 So far, everything we’ve tried doesn’t help - just like the most common cold, the immediate complication is bronchitis :)
Our Sonya also suffers from obstructive bronchitis. I caught something viral last year. And now the snot almost always ends with this nasty thing 🙁 Now the snot is just starting, she breathes through a Polyana Kvasova nebulizer and drinks Anaferon for children. If obstruction begins, then Ventoli and Pulmicort are used, 2 times a day, 1 cube and 3 cubes of saline through a nebulizer.
Yes-ah, apparently we are colleagues in illness :(((
We also want to buy a nebulizer, we have special stores, but there, in my opinion, the prices are simply unrealistically inflated.
After New Year's Eve we will order via the Internet.
Tanya, thanks for the article. Very timely and relevant for us.
We ordered it online both because it’s cheaper and because now my husband has rushed to the shops and pharmacies, but it’s not in stock anywhere. It's sick season! And the parcel was sent to us the very next day after placing the order. So the Internet is more profitable in every sense.
By the way, regarding the difference between information on the Internet and in the equipment passport - this is generally the order of the day. Nobody checks. We have often encountered that on one site one thing is stated about a product, on another, another.
It’s better, of course, to look at the manufacturer’s website.
We are now just looking for a nebulizer, thanks for the post! The head physician advised that in case of allergic reactions (so that it does not turn into asthma), it relieves the mucous membrane well.
I hope the nebulizer helps. Do not be ill!
Oh, we're just about to buy! Thank you!
Why can't you do a lot of things? It's not like you have asthma...
Now I’ll call the pediatrician and find out what we can breathe in and maybe Lesha will buy a nebulizer from the medical equipment today. We need to find out what we can and cannot do.
What do you mean "not possible"? I don’t understand - what the doctor prescribed is what we breathe :) It all depends on what the doctor hears when listening. And without a prescription, you can only use saline or mineral water. There are no nebulizers in medical equipment - Anton looked there. And nowhere in the city. Only via the Internet.
— It should be used with caution in patients with bronchial asthma, since bronchospasm is often provoked (we are not allowed to do this, but doctors prescribed it).
Oh, I see :) It’s just that we often have obstruction with bronchitis. And everywhere they write that aminophylline does not work at all with nebulizer inhalation. So why do we need them to breathe in vain? I want to ask about this at the clinic tomorrow.
our first tooth appeared, ehhh
I’ll insert my 5 cents: we also have a tendency to obstruction, but usually we have pneumonia with obstruction at the same time. A nebulizer is definitely a thing (we have a Japanese Omron). but besides this, I would like to recommend Strelnikova’s breathing exercises - we do it every day in the morning and there are good results. In addition, we are also trying su-jok therapy (acupressure - I massage the points on the palms and palms that are responsible for the respiratory system). and we also drink homemade kefir "Narine" (I buy powder for the starter at pharmacies) - very tasty (much tastier than store-bought fermented milk) and most importantly HEALTHIER (and 80% of our immunity "sits" in the intestines). As for the medications, in our case we got a positive result after 3 courses of bronchomunal (there was no obstruction for six months after that - we thought that was it, we got out of it; but this fall again 2 cases in a row, now we are taking the course again)
Thank you for sharing your experience. We will definitely try breathing exercises.
We also took a course of rispebron (also for immunity, like bronchomunal), but less than a month later we got sick again :) Maybe we should try bronchomunal? I'll ask the pediatrician today.
Thank you for such voluminous and detailed information. We haven’t been seriously ill yet, but a nebulizer is part of my plans, since 2 friends have already encountered bronchial obstruction in their babies.
Somehow, bronchial obstruction has become very common. Previously, I didn’t know children with such passions, but now all the time.
I recently had bronchitis - the inhaler didn’t really help, it came down to antibiotics. 🙁
The herbs in the pan do not reach the lower respiratory tract, unfortunately. And they will not relieve bronchospasm.
When inhaling, the correct selection of medications at each stage is important. The doctor listens to us almost every day and changes the prescription when necessary. But another pediatrician prescribed some inhalations for 5 days (ours was on vacation), and after five days it became even worse. Well, ours came out, prescribed a different composition - and after three days everything went away!
This time I have the flu, and I caught it at the initial stage - so the herbs in the pan help very well.
Very informative article! At one time (about 5 years ago) we also went through endless ARVI and bronchitis. At that moment, the Internet was not at hand to find so much information, unfortunately. But we had a very competent doctor (which is a rarity in itself), he gave us a lot of recommendations. Now, as soon as children begin to have a runny nose or sneezing (the very beginning of the disease), we actively use inhalations with Interferon (ampoules with powder). It is inexpensive and the results are good. Dissolve 1 ampoule in 5 ml of saline solution and inhale 3-4 times a day. And for bronchitis, Lazolvan and Mineral water.
Thanks for sharing your experience. We haven’t tried interferon, we need to find out.
Thank you! Very good article! We recently bought a nebulizer, on the recommendation of a doctor, but he didn’t recommend how to use it, so we are in search of the truth, and we are still afraid of harming them. Not long ago we were in the hospital, the doctor gave it! diagnosis - allergic laryngitis, in the absence of allergies (they took an allergy test). They were discharged with whistling sounds - supposedly the doctor did not hear (although with the naked ear they were audible, and now there is a strong cough and whistling. We breathe Berodual 2 times a day. I want to try mucolvan - so that the whistling will stop , but I’m afraid of harm, the family doctor is incompetent and cannot advise anything, and I don’t see the point in going to the hospital where I spent 2 weeks. Can you recommend something!? (we are 6 years old)
Yes. The story is yours. I do not know what to say. Mucolvan helps us very well, but, of course, a doctor should advise. I wish you to find an adequate doctor and get well soon!
Thank you. Very useful information!
Glad it was useful)
What kind of water should I pour into the nebulizer, hot or cold?
For a nebulizer, you need to use either saline solution, mineral water, or special medications. None of them can be heated. Use everything at room temperature. This is the so-called "cold inhalations"
Hello. Why do some websites write to heat it in a water bath at 20 degrees and how to measure it. I just take everything out of the closet and make a solution. I don't store it in the refrigerator. How to wash with soapy water and then what water to rinse with
There is no need to heat the medicines - they should just be at room temperature.
But if you do not consume the entire dose of the inhalation solution at one time, then it can be stored for 24 hours in the refrigerator (it is better, of course, to read the instructions for the medicine - how and how long to store it open). Then, before inhalation, the solution will need to be pulled out in advance so that it has time to warm up. It doesn’t have to be exactly 20 degrees :)
And you can wash the parts of the nebulizer simply with soap and water, like any other thing: you soap them and then rinse them under the tap. After all, during inhalation, drool flows there, and snot can get in. Therefore, I personally also periodically pour boiling water over the mask and the medication reservoir itself for greater disinfection.
Thank you for your blog. Added to bookmarks.
Glad you liked it :)

Thank you for the article! wonderful! We have been using the nebulizer for 1.5 years, it helps a lot. For a dry cough, pour Essentuki No. 17; for a “wet” cough, we switch to a 1:2 mixture of Lazolvan and saline solution. I’ll add that Lazolvan is used in the form of a special solution for inhalation, and you can’t take Lazolvan in parallel as a mixture, it’s better to take something else expectorant, as recommended by your pediatrician
Oh, we've been doing exactly that lately too! Only in mild cases do we use Borjomi rather than Essentuki.
I bought my Omron U22 nebulizer (a new type - mesh, also known as mesh) via the Internet on the English website chemistdirect.co.uk. It came out to about 4,500 rubles, taking into account the discount coupons found.
Thanks for sharing
and if I don’t have bronchitis, can I breathe as a preventive measure..? Well, is there any benefit from this?
No, absolutely no benefit. Inhalation with a nebulizer is just a way to deliver medicine to the bronchi. just as an injection is a means of delivering medicine into the blood. If you are healthy, then you don't need this.
Good afternoon ! The child has bronchitis and does not clear his throat! What to breathe?
It is impossible to advise this like this - it is imperative that the doctor listen and determine what is “stuck” and where. Treatment is very different from this. We already know that we have bronchitis several times a year and it continues (((
And if you are very worried, then while you are waiting for the doctor, you can only breathe Borjomi.
Is it possible to use Tyumenskaya, Taraskulskaya mineral water? This is the only one we sell.
I won’t say anything about this (even when “Borjomi” was not in stores, you could buy it at the pharmacy. It’s more expensive, but one bottle lasts a very long time. Maybe they sell it in your pharmacy too? It’s better to consult your doctor about other mineral waters I wouldn’t risk it and for now I only inhaled with saline solution.
Tatyana, thank you for the complete and detailed description, I was already thinking about buying such a device, but apparently there was not enough information. Today, out of the corner of my eye, I saw the announcement of your article and was very interested. Even though the boys don’t get sick that often, I want to reduce this time to a minimum.
I’m glad that the article was useful :) We still, unfortunately, often use a nebulizer and are very pleased with the effect.
How many days should I use the nebulizer? only until the sputum thins, or maybe longer, will there be an effect similar to that of phlegm-thinning drugs, when there is too much phlegm and the cough does not go away with the medications.
Yes - there is such an effect. Even a runny nose usually does not go away while you are doing inhalations, because they actively produce phlegm, including in the nose.
Consult your doctor - he should tell you. It all depends on the results of the audition.
From my own experience: we are usually prescribed inhalations for 3 or 5 days. The last time I was very sick, I took inhalation for 7 days. In addition, the doctor prescribes a smooth exit for us - we cannot stop abruptly, otherwise something may remain there and dry out and become a source of a new infection. For example, we did inhalations 3 times a day, when it became better, the doctor listened and said for two more days to do 2 times a day and on the last day 1 time.
Good afternoon, please tell me how long the inhalation lasts? Today we made the same device for a child for the first time. 2 ml of saline solution with laferobion evaporated in 2 minutes. At first there was strong steam, but after two minutes it stopped. This is fine? We spent about 10 minutes in the hospital
We pour more than 2 ml of solution. 2 ml of medicine only + another 2 ml of saline solution. This is what the doctor prescribes. Those. in total it turns out to be 4 ml. And it evaporates in 5-7 minutes. It also depends on the intensity of breathing - if you breathe strongly and deeply, it evaporates faster, if superficially, it evaporates more slowly. And don’t forget that it won’t evaporate dry anyway - for example, in our inhaler, according to the instructions, the residual volume of the medicine is 0.5 ml. Therefore, you need to pour the same amount more than prescribed in order to ultimately get the required dose. In general, inhalation should be done until the entire volume of the medicine prescribed by the doctor has evaporated, but no more than 10 minutes. at once.
This is true about steam - at first it is produced very actively, but towards the end it becomes weaker.
We also sat in the hospital for 10 minutes. But it seems to me that they are just doing this for convenience - it is difficult for a nurse to keep track of each patient, whether he has already exhaled his dose or not, so they set everyone the same timer. I wonder if health workers read me? Maybe someone can explain it in a qualified manner?
Thank you very much, we've already sorted it out a little. We just thought it might be faulty, but now everything is fine
It’s good that we figured it out :) I wish you a speedy recovery!
Wonderful article. Professional
Thank you :) Unfortunately, I’m not a doctor, that’s why I had to deal with this so seriously :) But now I know a lot about nebulizers :)
But you don’t need to talk about aminophylline, it treats everything perfectly. You just need to take the right nebulizer. First, bottled water about 8 ml is poured in, then a special plastic glass is placed on top and a solution for inhalation is already in it. For example, aminophylline-1 ml, demidrol -0 .5 ml and 4-5 ml of Borjomi mineral water from a glass bottle.
I’m only writing out here what I found in special medical sources—I’m not inventing anything myself. There are all links to sources, you can contact them and, if you have a special education, then figure out for yourself why they give such recommendations. And the statement “he heals everything perfectly” from an unknown person is not an argument for me.
Hello. my daughter is 1.5 months old, she has already had bronchitis and severe rhinitis, now I’m afraid of every sneeze. Tell me, is it possible to do physical inhalations for prevention? solution? And besides, the cough appeared again, dry, it’s been a week, it hasn’t gone away, the pediatrician listened, said there was no wheezing, and that’s it, no recommendations, nothing, that’s how we were lucky with the pediatrician, he doesn’t answer questions at all.
Good afternoon It would be good for you to find a normal doctor. Because I don’t have any medical advice to advise such a baby to do anything. I won’t dare education. I can only tell you the words of our pediatrician - she is against doing inhalations for preventive purposes. He believes that this is the only way to carry infection deeper into the upper respiratory tract. If there are no wheezes in the bronchi, then there is no point in inhaling them. After all, the whole point of a nebulizer is that it delivers medicine directly to the bronchi. But, I repeat, only a qualified doctor can say something in this matter. And then they are all different and all adhere to their own view and method.
I wish the baby a speedy recovery!
Please tell me: does the filter need to be washed after the procedure (sponge pad)?
Ours does not have a filter. But I think that of course it needs to be washed - otherwise there will be no point in using it if it gets clogged.
the filter does not need to be washed. The kit includes spare ones, which are replaced as they wear out. At least once a year. Depends on frequency of use.
The girls bought an LD-210C inhaler yesterday, I give the child an inhalation, pour 2 ml of the solution and it sprays in less than a minute, is this generally normal? The child does not have time to take a couple of breaths before the medicine runs out. We were in the hospital, where the inhaler sprayed for a little more than 5 minutes, so there was time to breathe.
The medicine is usually diluted with saline to an appropriate volume. Personally, we most often get 2 ml of medicine + 2 ml of saline solution and this is enough for about 5 minutes of inhalation. But I never invent any treatment or proportions myself—that’s what the doctor prescribes for us. Ask your friend - he will definitely tell you how to inhale correctly.
Which diffuser should you use for dry coughs? Yellow or universal blue?
Our model has only one diffuser, so I can’t tell you anything about it.
In addition, I’m not sure that with a dry cough you need to breathe at all - the nebulizer is used to deliver the medicine directly to the bronchi, to the lower respiratory tract. A dry cough indicates that it is the upper respiratory tract. But of course I'm not a doctor. Did your doctor order this for you? Then do it, and if not, then it’s better to let the doctor listen first.
Yes, today the doctor prescribed to breathe with Berodual, and then 20 minutes later with Lazolvan
Then get treatment! Have a quick recovery!
Hello! I'm a grandmother now, not a doctor either. Thank you very much for the detailed, useful, competently and clearly presented information! In my youth there were no nebulizers, the Internet and such a huge amount of information, very different. And now I also enjoy “digging” on the Internet before purchasing something or recommending something (progressively) to my daughter (for my grandson). I know from experience how much you want to get to the bottom of an unfamiliar issue. For the first time, a pediatrician advised me to buy a nebulizer and ended up on your notes. Once again, thank you so much for sharing your experience and noticing such useful “little things.” All the best.
Thank you for your kind comment! 🙂 I’m very glad that the information was useful to you :)
"Barjomi" in a nebulizer? Have you gone crazy? I accidentally read in one Facebook feed an advice on how to cure it quickly and without “chemistry”. No secret! And the same very practical advice. I had this treatment last year – I still get jitters as I remember. I would describe all the delights of my quick treatment, but I’m afraid it won’t be pleasant enough to even read it.
Firstly, we inhale the drugs that I described in the article, according to a doctor’s prescription. In any case, before using ANY medications, you need to consult with specialists, and not “prescribe” them to yourself. Then complications will be minimized. But even at the same time, unfortunately, no one is safe from them - individual reactions to different drugs can be different.
Once again I urge you to use only doctor’s prescriptions.
Friends, I want to share with you an interesting article in which Dr. Komarovsky (and I think everyone knows him) explains how harmful it is to pour mineral water into a nebulizer. https://www.obozrevatel.com/health/digest/doktor-komarovskij-nalivat-v-nebulajzer-mineralku-eto-kak-zapravit-avtomobil-senom.htm For everyone who cares about their own health.
For those who still believe in the harmlessness of mineral water in a nebulizer. I recommend watching a video in which expert doctors clearly explain how dangerous this is. Borjomi and nebulizer are incompatible! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xl9x3nBREZc
